Myrtle Chaffin Classic 2027-28 Prospects Worth Mentioning

Joe is the ultimate Do It all player that just plays the game the right way…Comes off the bench and give you solid effect every time he steps on the floor. Shoot the open 15–17-foot jumper. Glue guy always around the ball. Plays strong/aggressive on both ends of the floor…Offensively, he is strong with the ball in his hands, attacking and getting around defenders, embracing physicality, and looking to score or get to the line. He finds ways to mix it up by attacking or knocking down shots from an array of areas. But what impressed me overall was his ability to facilitate, help on the glass, and bring a lot of energy to the floor.     Uzzi Morton, as he gets things going at the rim. Love his mobility and fluidity, attacks the rim in transition, comfortable in defending the perimeter and shows the ability to pass out of double teams and set effective picks. There is a lot of potential in Uzzi's game especially when he gets in better conditioning. Possesses soft hands, vision, runs the floor hard, and maximizes his length and girth on both ends of the floor. Physical finisher.     Good looking wing with size. Moves very well around the basket. Intriguing young prospect in the class of 2028. continues to impress as a reliable presence as an good looking wing to keep an eye in for the next three years. Shows great feel for spacing, soft touch on mid-range looks, and the strength to battle inside. Switchable defender who plays with a high IQ and impacts winning with the little things.     Though it is a balanced attack for the Mt. Zion Prep team, it was Chima who really grab your attention with his size and mobility. The young wide-body 5 man showed his feel and footwork, operating comfortably around the basket, scoring with touch and feel, making good reads out of the post, and using his size well on the glass. His mobility, feel and skillset as a young big is quite impressive, as he has a chance to be something special in the coming years.     Lefty strong build wing. Scores in transitions. Monthe is a young wing to keep tabs on. Plays hard and plays with aggressiveness on both ends of the floor. Monthe not only continues to be a threat with his ability to score from the perimeter but excels in getting to the rim as well to finish. Monthe can mix it up well overall as an offensive weapon, displaying a confident jumper from multiple levels as well as using his body to finish through contact. Throughout the game, Monthe was able to bring a ton of value with his ability to be a scoring factor, rebounding, and also being active defensively. He should be a interesting 2028 prospect to monitor going forward.     Comes off the bench. Solid handle. Plays steady on ball defense. Let's the game come to him. Unassuming guard that just knows how to play the game the right way. Always under control when getting downhill. It didn't take long to recognize all the ways he sets the tone as a leader. Iyer is a smart, polished guard with ball skills, scoring ability, and defensive prowess to shine on both ends of the floor. He touches the paint and scores the ball from all levels with relative ease. Iyer is assertive enough to take advantage of available scoring chances but is a very willing passer who sees the floor well when driving. Gets everyone involved in the action. His upside/potential is huge.” Iyer proved to be an asset for Bethal Academy and will be a player to monitor in the coming years.     Long rangy forward. Run the floor extremely well. Use his length to rebound and play the passing lanes. Not only will he bring size for this team down low, but his ability to comfortably to use his length to block shots. Finish at the rim and bring activity on the offensive glass will be huge overall throughout the season. Look for Wilson with more strength and aggressiveness to get more playing time. Note: Program has Quinn in the class of 2027.
