The 2029 rankings are out! We only ranked 66 players so far and last year this time we had 90 exactly for the 2028 class. This class initially looks very good but it may not be as deep as 2028 with 5+ nationally ranked players already.

Time will always tell how good classes are and many more will be discovered in the next few months of the AIA season. I will go to freshman and JV games to find some new freshmen talent.

Here is the Top 9-16 Freshmen ranked

[player_tooltip player_id='2251690' first='Innocent' last='Onwo'] Mesa

A bigger scoring guard with a very strong frame. The southpaw loves getting downhill and scoring thru contact and he will hit shots from mid to the three point line. He can be a very good defender and rebounder for his position moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2533594' first='CJ' last='Johnson'] Desert Edge

One of the top pure point guards in the class. He has good size already and sees plays developing quickly with next level court vision. He has speed with the ball, a tight handle, athleticism and skill. He can score it with quick drives and jumpers from the outside.

[player_tooltip player_id='2886380' first='Remy' last='Rose'] Carl Hayden

One of the top point guards has great size already and gets the game. He is a phenomenal passer and will make live dribble passes and will suck in the defense and kick it to a shooter. He will also score it from all three levels with drives and jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2916091' first='Walter' last='Hennix III'] AZ Compass Prep

One of the top two-way guards in the class has elite lateral quickness, speed and toughness. He wants to defend and he suffocates his opponents and literally makes it difficult for them to even dribble. He scores with dunks shockingly, dribble drives and jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734358' first='Cruz' last='Kazmierski'] Gilbert

A sharp shooting guard with some size already and a high feel for the game. He has a pure stroke from the three point line and from mid-range. He moves without the ball and can read the court to make a play for a teammate. He may not be done growing.

[player_tooltip player_id='2759167' first='Taylan' last='Owens'] Canyon View (Pictured)

A smooth scoring lead guard is very fast with some shift to his handle. He is a very good passer with some needle threaders but also can score it with mid-range jumpers, slick drives to the basket and step backs or threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2553594' first='Aguer' last='Kuir'] Bella Vista Prep

A long power forward with natural defensive instincts to play the passing lanes and he seems to live off the glass. He has a big time motor combined with his size, length and athleticism to want to corral the ball at its highest point and keep plays alive.

[player_tooltip player_id='2865919' first='Sandro' last='Santiago'] Bella Vista Prep

A very fluid and long forward who can play and defend multiple positions. He has the mobility, length and twitch to defend in space plus the size and strength to defend inside and rebound the ball at a good clip. He can also score it from inside and out.
