On Saturday March 28th I attended two club tournaments around the city with the Phenom Hoops West Mania at the Pyramid in Phx and the annual King of the City at the Phhacility in Phx.

I watched 11 games with 20 different teams on the long day and here were my Top-70 performers I viewed. These are not prospect rankings, but how did they do in the 1 or 2 games I viewed of them.

4th Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2457854' first='Grant' last='Budd'] Pinnacle ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 2028 UA Rise)

A bigger power forward is your face-up finesse type. He will score it from inside and out. He loves using his polished hook shot, which seems to be his go-to move, but he will go baseline and rip thru to the basket plus rattle in threes off the catch. He will also rebound and block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='3574132' first='Reko' last='Bynum'] Valley Vista (Pictured) (I10 Celtics Puma 17)

A newcomer for me is a shooting guard with a little size. He impressed with jab step threes, layups on the break with great speed and quickness and he is hyper athletic to throw it down impressively way above the rim and he may be a West Valley breakout player next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2506421' first='Nuul' last='Deng'] Phhoenix Prep (I10 Celtics Puma 17)

A long wing forward gets to this spots he wants with a nice handle for position and will get downhill with long strides. He is very twitchy and explosive to throw it down on the break. He can also shoot it from mid to the three occasionally and he is a sneaky good passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2784892' first='Kaeden' last='Everett'] Phhoenix Prep (I10 Celtics Puma 17)

A hyper athletic power forward is a two-way player. He was very aggressive to the basket getting downhill and will throw it down dunking the ball effortlessly with his springs and twitchy reflexes. He is very effective and efficient on the break and he seems to defend every position on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2842403' first='Malik' last='Frazier'] Bourgade Catholic ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)

A scoring point guard with a high feel and real skill. He has advanced court vision and gets the ball out of his hands to make a play with plus vision. He will score it with threes off the catch and tough mid-range pull-ups with a soft shot. He will collect a bunch of steals with his quicker feet and hands and makes winning plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='3457363' first='Jacob' last='Jensen'] Millennium ([program_tooltip program_id='2120446' first='AZ' last='STORM'] 16)

A thicker framed wing is a point forward type. He loves to get downhill to score or he will unselfishly drive and kick it and find a teammate in stride. He handles it well for his position and has some skill to shoot it to the three point line off the catch. He he is an out of the area rebounder with his frame and bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734358' first='Cruz' last='Kazmierski'] Gilbert ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)

A bigger guard with a strong frame and skill. He will get downhill and score with and-1's using his college-like frame and burst to the basket. He likes ripping thru in traffic and he will hit perimeter jumpers from mid to the three off the catch. He can also rebound well and make a play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2693801' first='Dane' last='Montague'] Perry ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)

One of the biggest players in the sophomore class and then AIA was a problem on the glass. He uses his mass, strength, positioning and length to corral the ball off the boards. He will score with left hand hook shots, layups, dunks and will cash in on his free throws. He will also block shots and is moving better in space.

[player_tooltip player_id='3354622' first='Deshaun' last='Owens'] Arcadia ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 15 EYCL)

A long wing forward who can fill up the stat sheet. He will score with downhill takes with long strides, uses the runner, he takes long euro steps and he will collect steals, get deflections and rebound better then most. He keeps his opponents in front of him with his twitch and length and shows upside.

[player_tooltip player_id='3457393' first='Benji' last='Tanner II'] Millennium ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)

A true combo guard who can score it plus facialite. He has great size for a guard and he is a way better passer then when I first viewed him. He makes it look easy with pinpoint dimes and scores it with inside takes and jumpers. He has a pretty looking shooting stroke from mid to the three point line and he is competitive on defense with taking charges and blocking shots.
