[player_tooltip player_id='2388499' first='Anthony' last='Byrd'] of Hopkins. Why? Byrd is an athletic, quick reacting, long armed, well running player at 6'7/6'8 that can run to the rim, board, contest shots, and finish in the paint. That's what Hopkins needs him to do and that is what we saw him do this spring. Has a chance at a big senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2119642' first='Avery' last='Christensen'] of Willmar. Why? Scored nearly 20 a game and when we saw him scoring for the Stars this 17u season we saw a player that grew a bit, got stronger, and is definitely moving like a D2 guard. His first step, separation, and touch brought several D2 schools to him and he is headed to Northern State. With 8AAA being open, Avery could lead his team to state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1628768' first='Connor' last='Duden'] of Red Lake County. Why? Teams raved about the toughness of Connor this 17u season. Tough defender, good leader, led his team, attacked the rim and wasn't intimidated by whomever they played. Led his team to state and is looking to do so again. Signed with Bemidi State.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874800' first='Brayden' last='Gorton'] of Minneapolis Washburn. Why? Brayden is quite rare. He is s 6'9, a lefty, and he shoots it very well. There are already a limited amount of 6'9 guys and even less that can shoot it at the arc and even less that are lefty's. The MIAC loves Brayden, DWU is on him, jucos are after him, and now the D2s are interested. Lots of opportunity here.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465510' first='Mark' last='Graff'] of Mahtomedi. Why? Graff scored almost 20 a game last season and the first thing that grabs my attention is his toughness. From there you look at the way Mark runs his team at lead guard as a smart decision maker, plus he is a very good perimeter shooter. Good all around package for a player that should have his team top five in state.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560881' first='Ja'carion' last='Green'] of Eastview. Why? Green is a player that I think can have a monster senior season. Defensively there are few players with his lateral quicks that can change a game like Green, when we have seen him locked in pressuring guys, they wilt. Offensively is outstanding getting downhill, especially when the ball is moved to him in space in a possession when the defense is reacting late. A big year ahead, good attacking 6'1/6'2 athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560824' first='Deangelo' last='Dungey'] of Totino-Grace. Why? This fall you could feel Dungey's energy in the fall league gym. He was all over the place defensively, Dungey can make shots from the perimeter with range which can open up so much for the Eagles. TG has a lot of talent and if you add a deep threat too.... it expands what they can do even more. Big year coming.

[player_tooltip player_id='2465512' first='Duke' last='King'] of Tartan. Why? King looks like he has been in the weight room, like he stretched out a couple inches, and added some burst to his step and his bounce. All of that is huge because he's already an athletic 6'4/6'5 guy and now with strength he is going to be on balance and always going to the rim without the help affecting him as much as it did when he was not as strong. Expectations are high for him.

Henry Knutson of Maple Grove. Why? There is so much focus on Max, on Babou, on Big Jack, etc, but keep in mind that Henry averaged 11 points and eight rebounds a game last year shooting 38 percent from the arc for a state team. Then he went and had a great 17u season with the Fury. People are going to put so much focus on defending the big, on slowing Max, and on finding Babou, they are going to forget about the weapon Henry is. But colleges haven't forgot.

[player_tooltip player_id='1951088' first='Luke' last='Roschen'] of Goodhue. Why? Luke is a great fit for Southwest Minnesota State because he will come in, work, play smart, and challenge those in front of him. His teams win. Football, basketball, pool, darts, Mario Kart, whatever, Luke plays for winners. Good rebounder as a guard who can guard multiple spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560843' first='Cohen' last='Underhill'] of Chisago Lakes. Why? Cohen has athletically blossomed. You've likely seen his dunks on social media but it's more than just that. At 6'4 as an athletic wing Cohen has a chance to really blossom from a 14ppg guy to a 20ppg guy all while grabbing attention from college coaches.
