Pocket City Fall League Week 1 Standouts:

Impacted the game on both ends with quickness creating turnovers leading to buckets for himself as well as his teammates. Shot the ball really well from three knocking down two shots from distance including the game winning four-point play with 2.6 seconds to play. The smooth shooting junior out of Gibson Southern scored all over the floor in the parts of two games that I saw him. He never gets sped up and looks to make the right play every time. Inside-out threat that had his jump shot going early on. Did a good job being shot ready on the catch and took advantage of his opportunities. He was in attack mode early scoring from all three levels. Never got sped up and played on balance in the parts of the two games I saw of him. Controlled the paint on both ends while showing the offensive skill set that has him garnering the recent Division I interest. He was really good shooting off the catch yesterday, but what impressed me was his ball handling and ability to get to his spot on the floor. He was extremely comfortable on the floor with a lot of talented players. He played under control and impacted the game on both ends of the floor. He's a really good on ball defender that has active hands. Offensively he didn't force anything. He took what the defense gave him. He played with a ton of confidence scoring from all over the floor. He relies on the jump shot a little too much. Would like to see him get downhill and use his athleticism, but yesterday he shot the ball extremely well. Good rebounder and versatile defender that can guard multiple positions. Communicates well on both ends and shows leadership skills to get everybody organized. Rebounds well for his size and has special court vision. Does a good job with the throw ahead pass and playing with his head up in general. The jump shot is unorthodox right now, but he's a confident player that when he sees one go in he can catch fire. Would love to see him be more aggressive and get paint touches. More paint touches = more passing angles to find teammates for buckets.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
