FEAAC Showcase - Standouts Part 1

FEAAC put together a Fall showcase that featured some top talent. Through a combination of live action drills and 5 V 5 game play, players had many opportunities to showcase their skill set in front of scouts. Here is a list of players who stood out.    Montgomery truly stood out during the drills, but he particularly excelled in the 5-on-5 games. He showcased a complete set of skills and demonstrated his ability to dominate the game across multiple statistical categories. He runs the floor effectively and possesses great body control, making him an impressive rebounder on both ends of the court. Montgomery is outstanding in transition, and his capability to rebound defensively allows the guards to space the floor effectively. He is a high flyer, consistently finishing above the rim. His pull-up jumper is ready for the next level, and he can shoot the three-pointer as well as drive to the basket. Additionally, he makes the necessary passes to facilitate his teammates' scoring opportunities. Overall, he was one of the most polished players in the gym.     Holmes made a strong impact during the 5-on-5 games. He caught everyone's attention with two impressive back-to-back dunks. Although Holmes may not be the fastest or most athletic player, he is quite crafty. He has a deep understanding of the game and anticipates plays well. He demonstrated good shot selection and shot the ball effectively. Additionally, he made smart passes to his teammates, effectively ran the fast breaks, and showed his defensive skills with timely pokes and key double teams that created turnovers and easy scoring opportunities for his team. Overall, Holmes demonstrated his ability to contribute to winning.     Orbe is a defensive-minded 3&D guard. He applied ball pressure on his opponent every possession, bumped cutters, preventing any free cuts. He fought through screens and emphasized strong off-ball defense. Offensively, he was a reliable floor spacer, hitting several three-point shots and demonstrating the ability to make tough finishes around the rim.     Raphael demonstrated a strong presence during drills, seizing every opportunity on both offense and defense. He effectively communicates as the defensive anchor and excels at containing driving guards. His hands are both active and disciplined. Offensively, he showcases a soft touch around the rim and can effortlessly dunk, posing a significant lob threat to the defense. Raphael moves fluidly, is agile, and possesses excellent footwork. His combination of size and skill will make him a sought-after player at the next level.     Babbs is a versatile and solid athlete with a strong frame who excelled both inside and outside. He was never caught standing still, constantly moving, relocating, and making himself available. He rebounded effectively and stayed active even when the ball wasn't initially finding him. He looked to finish on cuts, rolls, and put-backs. He spaced the floor well on the perimeter, could hit corner threes at a high clip, and could guard positions 2 through 5.
