On Saturday October 18, PH NorCal was in the gym at Bellarmine College Prep in San Jose, CA. We Watched 12 games on Saturday. Court 1, the first 9 games before moving to court 2 for the last 3 games of the day. Here are the standouts for the first five games on court 1. After playing the first game, rest for a game then play the second game. We saw a team play two games in a short period of time.

[player_tooltip player_id='1826998' first='Xavier' last='Barnett']: He's one of the most consistent playmakers we have in NorCal. The unsigned Senior can run the point guard position at the next level. At this level he'll be called upon in different ways to lead this team. He's improved his 3pt shooting. He's strong going to the basket taking hits. He defends multiple positions, and he rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2471762' first='Ronnie' last='Selleaze']-Montano: He transferred from one of NorCals top programs. He's expected to do it all for his new team. Standing around 6'4 with superb handles, solid body, and movement, he's a willing facilitator with court vision. He has the skills, and balance to produce buckets from different areas on the court, including the mid-post. He won't be locked in to one position. He'll rebound, and defend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2268980' first='Bryant' last='Clark']: He spent considerable time up to running the teams offense in the early going of games. He's giving notice he can be a next level guard with his improved ball handling, expanding vision, he found multiple mates for scoring opportunities. He's also a productive scorer working off ball, and transition. He has speed, strength, and he's converting more often than not. He has some explosiveness to his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2874079' first='Saba' last='Pachulia']: He's long at 6'5, probably still growing. He's a rising prospect in the 2028 class. He has work to do but, did get the gyms attention knocking down deep 3's from all around the perimeter, and coming down in transition. He shows an ability to create space with his handles to get his shots off.

Arek Andrada: A newcomer we'll see more of. The 6'0 guard hit multiple jumpers from mid-range and 3-point. He used his dribble to create space, dropped a couple of step backs with balance. He's a solid ball handler with the ability to finish layups in traffic. At 6'0 he helps rebound, will push, pass and find mates in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='2376811' first='Devin' last='Turner']: He has a solid body, and improving skill set to work with. He uses that body for drives into the paint sometimes a spin move, and other ways finishing in traffic handling contact. He showed range knocking down 3's coming up, using screens, and spotting up around the perimeter, and corners. He's not afraid to get on the floor for loose ball, and mixing it up to help rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1981405' first='Brian' last='Wright']: He's only 6'4, and one of the most effective prospects in NorCal as an undersized post player. His strength, balance and ability to get his shot off over bigger players in the post continues to standout at this level. We'll say, he continues to develop, and expand his overall game away from the basket, but for now he's getting it done in the post on both sides scoring, rebounding, and working hard to defend his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2710103' first='Claxton' last='Ladine']: He's one of the better 3-point shooters in the area, a bit streaky but can get it going. He dropped multiple 3's from around the perimeters, and spotting up in the corners on Saturday. He has good foot speed, improving handles. He showed a burst on the dribble to get to his spots for pull-up jumpers, he's getting into the paint more often.

Kingsley Eneh: A newcomer who'll be a contributor. Standing around 6'3 he has an improving skill set, gives good effort on both ends. He defends bigger players, works the interior going after rebounds, and points. He's tough minded, undersized but, can handle the physical play in the paint, he scores going up strong around the basket. He's shown he can work the perimeter at times using body and strong drives into the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2863604' first='Evan' last='Lee']: He looks to be settling in a bit. The transfer from St. Francis has a good body, he stands around 6'4. He'll roam the perimeter at first looking to find a spot to shoot 3's off the catch, if run off, he's using his body, dribble, and balance to penetrate the paint for a pass, paint jumper or finish the layup. He has the body to get a bucket in the paint, he runs the floor in transition. He'll help with the team rebounding.

Ronald Goatley: A newcomer with plenty of speed and handle to generate a bucket off the dribble, in transition, and around the perimeter. He's a legitimate threat to knock down 3's coming down in transition, setting up around the perimeters. They'll set up a play for him out of a time out to get him a 3 opportunity. He's fast with quick feet to defend and stick. We'll see more

Hudson Harper: A newcomer with good guard skills. He showed ball handling, vision and decision making with ball in his hands running the offense up top. He weaved his way into the paint avoiding hard hits, has court vision spreading the ball around the perimeter and up court. An upside to his game is the ability to work off ball dropping 3's from different spots.

Ryder Carper: They may have a similar style of play on the court, we're going to see more. Both long and wiry prospect. Ryder hit a couple of long 3's while we were watching. He handles the ball, made good passes up court.

Jackson Corbett: Newcomer has size at 6'4, still growing, and filling his frame. He works the high, mid, and low post with good passing, ball movement. He used a dribble, or two to get to the basket. He moves well around the court, setting solid screens, making good cuts to the basket. He brought the ball up court, he rebounds, run the court.

Meezy Butler (James): He's an underrated prospect with a good upside. He's an improving point guard, solid handles, good passing, shows he can generate buckets using his dribble from the top, and sides. He's more athletic than he looks, good hops, with quick twitch muscles, and movement, recovers fast. He plays with good intensity on the defensive side of the ball.
