After arriving from New Mexico he had to sit out half the season. He’s a good size point guard at 6’3, quality handles, a solid body, he has foot speed, and good court movement, he can play off ball. He goes hard with ball in hand attacking from different angles, transition, and along the baseline. He gives good effort on the defensive side of the ball

Montano is our top newcomer to this class. We first laid eyes on him running the point for Salesian College Prep, one of NorCals top programs. He handles himself well against quality competition Section 7, then again at Cali-Live. A 6’2 guard with handles, vision, and good passing. He can knock down the open 3, uses his body to get into the paint. He has a mid-range, defends well. We’ll see if the newcomer should be ranked higher.
