PHI released our first look at the 2029 class with our initial watch list which features 40 prospects we believe are worth monitoring this upcoming high school season. We look at them position by position in 2029 Watch List: Post Prospects!

Players are in Alphabetical Order

[player_tooltip player_id='2963993' first='Kaleb' last='Garcia'] (Collinsville)

A lot of buzz about Garcia as the 6'7” post is one to watch in the metro east! He has legit size, excellent footwork, and continues to get better. Hard worker that's best basketball is ahead of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964028' first='Elon' last='Henderson'] (Leo)

Henderson goes 6'8” as a center that has one of the highest ceilings in the class early in the process. He moves tremendously well for his size getting up and down the floor and being an anchor on the defensive end with his shot blocking and rebounding. Touch in the paint, can attack from the mid-post, hook shots, and gets put backs consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='2798656' first='Zach' last='Newman'] (Deerfield)

Newman has a big body at 6'5”. High level offensive rebounder that gets second chance points on the glass. Old school big with his low post game using nice footwork and feel. Can shoot it a little as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2920941' first='Luke' last='O'Reilly'] (St. Ignatius)

At 6'5” the St. Ignatius big man is a fluid athlete that gets up and down the floor with ease. Finishes out of the dunker spot and rebounds in his area. Potential as a defender once he adds more strength.

[player_tooltip player_id='2921082' first='Titus' last='Payton'] (Tinley Park)

Payton has good size already along with a frame to continue to gain strength and height. Finishes well through traffic and is aggressive getting on the boards. Does damage backing his man in and finishing with body control in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835804' first='Adam' last='Schwarz'] (Glenbard East)

At 6'5” we came away impressed with this mobile post with what he brought on the defensive end at the Freshman Showcase. Plus shot blocker with timing. Quickness on the other end as well, but defense is ahead of offense early on.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369894' first='Danilo' last='Vazic'] (Rockford Guilford)

The 6'4” power forward is a high level defender blocking shots and making instinctive plays on that end. Has some pop offensively finishing and getting on the boards with his second jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2405910' first='Denym' last='Wallace'] (New Trier)

Wallace will be a day one starter for one of the better suburban programs in the Chicagoland area. The 6'6” four is strong and very physical. Beast rebounder that mauls on the glass at a young age. Scores with a combination of skill and physicality down on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2536509' first='Declan' last='Wilson'] (Burlington Central)

Wilson is one of the better post players in the class early on. He stands at 6'5” with long arms. Likes to use his handles to take opponents off the bounce from the high and mid post area. On the block he has good feel, sweet turnaround jumper, and passes well. Defensively he brings mobility covering a lot of ground.
