Palmer gained valuable varsity experience as a freshman and now enters his sophomore season ready for a larger role. Palmer is a confident shooter with deep range, he can also attack the rim and create off the bounce, and that was something that has been on display. His versatility stands out as he's comfortable on or off the ball. He's a floor spacer, and willing passer and that keeps defenses honest. This season, I expect him to be very productive and a key offensive piece and that's why he moves into the rankings after being on the watch list.

Hakeem is a player who impacts winning in ways that extend beyond the box score, and those are players to build around. His motor and energy on the glass stand out as he keeps possessions alive and finishes plays through contact. Offensively, he moves well without the ball, finds scoring angles, and plays with soft touch inside after grabbing the rebound and going straight up. Defensively, he's versatile. He defends multiple spots, alters shots, and sets the tone physically. South will lean on him heavily for a spark this season, and I expect for him to deliver in those minutes. He easily makes the jump onto the rankings after time on the watch list as a player to keep an eye on this season.

Riopel gives Pueblo West exactly what they needed last year so those minutes could be valuable if he continues to progress before the season gets here. From what we saw this summer at the showcase with his size, strength, and inside presence, that could help Pueblo West get some wins. With his athleticism and length, he's capable of finishing through contact, rebounding in traffic, and protecting the rim. He showed all of that this summer, using his motor to impact both ends. I expect Riopel to log varsity minutes early and provide interior toughness as a reliable frontcourt piece with plenty of upside.

Richardson is a player that we struggled with on this list as his ceiling is extremely high, and though we felt we didn't see enough of him this summer the flashes that we were able to see are undeniable. He's a skilled offensive forward who scores in the mid-post, uses his size inside, and finishes over smaller defenders. His footwork and touch around the paint stand out, and when aggressive, he's tough to stop. If given the opportunity this season, Richardson could see a significant rise in time and GW will definitely need him. He's a player that we expect to see a huge rise with the good start to the season.

Williams showed consistency across multiple summer events and looks poised for a breakout year. He's an explosive athlete who thrives attacking downhill, he finishes strong at the rim and takes advantage of mismatches. His competitive edge and ability to create off the dribble stood out against top competition this summer and he did not avoid any matchups to prove himself. With an expanded role coming, expect Williams to be a focal point and a potential riser this season as he had one of the bestter freshman seasons, expecting an even bigger performance in year 2.
