2028 Rankings Update: Who Moved Into The Top 50

PH NorCal has update the Class of 2028 Rankings. There's been some movement in the top 20, some inched up a few spots, while others made a move into the top 50. These prospects earned the right to go up with their productivity on the court, at the Varsity level. Many in this group start, or will be contributors logging quality playing time when the season begins.   [player_tooltip player_id='2484218' first='Parks' last='Weaver'] 6'2 PG from Folsom HS, plays for All In Elite (3 to 2) [player_tooltip player_id='2499030' first='Maison' last='Phillips'] 6'2 Guard, Jesuit HS, played with JG Elite (4 to 3) [player_tooltip player_id='2574699' first='PJ' last='Parker'] 6'9 C/PF, McClatchy HS, plays for Team California (9 to 4) [player_tooltip player_id='2484296' first='Brendan' last='Williams'] 6'9 C/PF, Moreau Catholic, plays for Team Lillard (7 to 5) [player_tooltip player_id='2484216' first='Alonzo' last='Walker'] 6'4 CG, Dougherty Valley HS (10 to 9) [player_tooltip player_id='2843849' first='Cameron' last='Wall'] 6'2 Guard, Destiny Christian HS (15 to 10) [player_tooltip player_id='2633864' first='Weston' last='Edwards'] 5'11 CG, Saint Francis HS (21 to 15)    At 6'6 he's a big guard with the skill set to function from both guard spots, does well running point. A good handler, has vision, and good instincts delivering passes up court, and around the perimeter. He's a growing body with a frame to fill. He'll put up open 3's, can hit the mid-range off the dribble. He's shown he can drive into the paint, balance himself, and play through contact. He'll get a rebound. 27 to 13       He's had a breakout Spring, and Summer. Made the Top 40 at Pro West Camp, and Top 60 at Pangos All West Frosh/Soph Camp. Standing 6'5 he's got an improving inside/out game that makes him a versatile prospect. He can get his shot working along the perimeter. A couple of dribbles to get to the rim, pull-up for mid-ranges or drop a 3-pointer. He's got the size and improving footwork to score inside. He defends okay, gets his rebounds, and runs the court pretty good. 35 to 14     He surprised us with his breakout play at the Pangos All-West Frosh/Soph Camp in early September, made the Top 60 Game. He's long, getting stronger, his confidence is growing. Make no mistake about it he has work to do improving his overall skill set. He understands rebounding, and defending will get him court time. He's a good passer/ball mover from the high post, he runs the the court. He's been told to dunk everything, get rebounds, and go after blocks, while developing other parts of his game 54 to 20     Last season he made his presence felt entering the game looking to knock down 3's whenever the opportunity presented itself. Now he's a starter on a solid team in the 209. Standing 5'6 he's worked hard to bring balance to his game. He's fast and speedy pushing the ball up court, has good vision and passing, takes care of the ball. He's still a good 3-point shooter. 47 to 32     He'll be a solid contributor, starter or log quality minutes. He's a growing body, with an improving skill set. His productivity should tick up. He had a productive Spring and Summer playing with Jalen Green Elite against quality competition. He doesn't make a lot of mistake, has good passing, and movement without the ball. He sets up, and squares up ready to knock down 3-pointers. 44 to 33.     We got a glimpse of his capabilities a few weeks ago. He plays hard, fast, with energy. He has the tools to be a good defender, speed, lateral movement, and determination. His offense is improved. He runs the court, goes hard to the basket in transition. He looked a bit more settled putting up jumpshots, from mid-range out past the 3-point line. 83 to 39     He's a good size prospect probably still growing. He has an improving skill set that could get him some court time. He has the body, and balance to play in the paint. He'll use it to box out, get rebounds, and handle the contact going up strong off two feet around the basket. We've seen him handle, and pass from the high post, work along the baseline. He can hit the short jumper. 64 to 44
