Expert Analysis
Britt Wright | Prep Hoops Scout
Listed as a point guard, but can do things off ball as well at this level. He does a solid job of setting and making the offense go, keeps his dribble live, quick passing. He can create his shot using body, and balance to get into the paint, hit the mid-range jumper off the dribble. He has movement without the ball using screens, and other ways to get open for shots. He’s shot ready to knock down 3’s. He can defend up high with lateral movement. A reliable 14pts, 4r, 3a.

went from freshman sensation to one of NorCal’s most complete sophomore guards. At 6’3, he plays with poise, never appears to be too rushed and is always in control. Weaver can run a team as a floor general or take over games as a go-to scorer. He can score off the bounce, stopping on a dime to pull up with fluid mechanics on his jumper and uses his strength and athleticism to finish through contact at the rim.
What separates him is how comfortable he looks doing everything on the floor—whether it’s scoring with the ball or off the ball, making the right reads, or setting the tone defensively. As Folsom High gears up for a deep state run, Parks is set to be the driving force. With national buzz already picking up, don’t be surprised if you see him as a top 10 guard in his class.

We saw him once at Cali-Live, all indications are he’s a well rounded guard with a good skill set coming into his first season of high school basket. He’s got a jump shot with 3-point range, goes in, not much hesitation if left open. He plays fast with good movements without the ball. He can handle in open court, attack the paint, he has court vision to find open shooters.

It was our first look at the 6’3 shooting guard from Folsom. He showed he could defend at the varsity level, out on the perimeter cutting off drivers, and sticking to dribblers bringing the ball up court. He shows range on the 3pt shot, he used his dribble a bit to drive the baseline. He made his free throws, we’ll see more.
