The upcoming basketball season is about a month away as October is coming to an end soon. The 2028 class might have only played one varsity season, but that won't stop them from making an impact this season. Here are the 2028 Non-Public B guard prospects to track this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2397968' first='Connor' last='Junker'], 6'0 PG Gill St. Bernard's

Junker had a strong debut freshman season and should have an even bigger sophomore season. The 6'0 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Junker is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finishes well around the basket. He moves well without the ball in his hands and can get deflections on the defensive end. Junker is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2504745' first='Chase' last='Bray'], 5'11 PG Roselle Catholic

Bray transferred into Roselle Catholic from St. Benedict's and should make an impact for them this season. The 5'11 guard plays with composure on the ball as he rarely gets sped up and threads passes to his teammates in the half court. Bray can also score in the mid-range and has a nice release on his jumper. He can also play off the ball and slides his feet on the defensive end. Bray is a floor general who should run the offense efficiently throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763609' first='Jake' last='Ellis'], 5'10 PG/CG St. Mary's Rutherford

Ellis put up big numbers for Hoboken last season and is looking to carry that over into the Gaels. The 5'10 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and finishes well around the rim. Ellis is more than just a slasher as he has a good shooting stroke and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He is an underrated passer and pushes the pace well in transition. Ellis has the ability to put up points in bunches and should continue to do so this season for St. Mary's Rutherford.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194748' first='Bryce' last='Scott'], 5'9 CG Roselle Catholic

Scott should get more touches in the offense for the Lions, which should help his stock throughout the season. The 5'9 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get to his spot on the floor and knows how to finish in the mid-range. Scott sets his feet before he shoots and moves well without the ball in his hands. He rarely forces shots in the half court and is an underrated defender. Scott is a gritty guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763631' first='Oymere' last='Rene'], 6'1 SG St. Rose

Rene will have a bigger role in the offense, which will help his development. The 6'1 guard uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and rises up nicely on his jumper. Rene knows how to finish around the rim and can also play on the ball at times. He has the length to defend both backcourt spots and can find his open teammates in the half court. Rene's ability to play on and off the ball is something to track throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2735091' first='Elijah' last='Pierre'], 6'0 PG/CG Timothy Christian

[player_tooltip player_id='2626527' first='Noah' last='Ayesh'], 5'11 PG/SG Pioneer Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='2398463' first='Jordan' last='Rue'], 5'11 PG Ranney
