2027 Rankings Update Top 100 Risers

PH NorCal has updated the class of 2027 rankings. These prospects have raised their level of play from Spring to Summer and now Fall Ball, playing club and with their high school team. PH NorCal was there for the action. This rising group can go higher with a good season of high school basketball coming up.    A solid body combo guard with good guard skills. He can run point, has good passing, and vision to spot cutters going to the basket. He controls the pace at times. He uses quick dribbles, and a bump to get into the paint, doesn't mind contact. He hits the paint jumper. He's an alert defender, good on ball, helps weak side, can pick up, and defend full court.     He has good all around play. Usually works off ball, makes hard cuts to the basket, finishes in traffic. He can attack from the perimeter with a first step, and hard dribbles to finish. He hustles up to fill lanes in transition, a ball mover. He has the foot speed to stay on man, and help with traps up top. He has strength to defend taller players, and help rebound in the paint.     Standing around 5'11, he's a fast, strong guard built to handle the rough stuff on drives to the basket. He plays on go, always in attack mode when he gets the ball, pushing the fast break, or working from the top, and perimeter. He'll attack the paint, initiates contact at times, has the balance to complete the shot, or get an assist on the dump off.     An undersized post prospect with good fundamentals. Plays well off two feet to get his paint points, pump fakes, step throughs, he can hit the short jumper coming from the baseline, and top. He's capable of knocking down the 3 in the corner. He's a good passer/ball mover. He gives good effort defending taller players, fights for position, uses his body, and feet boxes out going for rebounds.     The hard playing guard had a good Spring and Summer against quality competition. He can handle, but plays mostly off ball, making cuts, and moving around the perimeter looking for a catch 3 without much hesitation. He's a ball mover with good vision, using bounce passes, and other ways spotting cutters, feeding the post. He can use his dribble to attack the basket, usually under control.     His first full season on the Varsity. He played well at the 16U level in the Spring and Summer against quality competition. He's long, still growing with a frame to fill, he's gaining balance. He has the capabilities to knock down 3-point shots right now, while shoring up other parts of his overall game. He uses screens, looks for open spots, he passes, cuts. He has the size to help rebound, his defense is on the improve. He made a few game winning shots at the 16U level.     He seems to have found his position. At first glance playing 15u he was a good size player with good skills away from the basket, but could go inside to get buckets cause he was bigger and stronger at that level. Now he roams the perimeter, at 6'3 aggressively looking for his shots. Hard drives to the basket, putting up jumpers, short and long. He goes hard in transition.     He looked good running point at Cali-Live, had all around good play at the Pro-West Camp. He's had a improving Spring, and Summer. He's on an upward path, looking like a solid point guard, with handles, vision and a willingness to involve others before looking to get his own shots off. His consistency, and decision making will be key.     He's a solid body point guard with speed, handles, and leverage. He's got the body to attack defenders off the dribble, challenge shot blockers in the paint. He'll push hard and fast in transition putting the pressure on defenses to slow him down. He'll be a contributor off ball with some duties up top. He'll be aggressive trying to put points on the board. Good foot speed to defend other ball handlers.     He's a transfer from Vallejo. He's a 6'3 shooting guard, looks like he's still growing. He's a savvy prospect will take advantage of others mistakes. He takes care of the ball, works mostly off ball, but can relieve pressure helping bring it up. He sees the court to make good passes around the perimeter. He'll spot up for 3's, or use a dribble drive to dish or hit the short jumper. He positions himself on defense to help, can stay close to man, he boxes out, looks for open space for transition 3's.     He has an improving inside/out game. He's working mostly in the post right now with decent foot work and activity around the basket to get his shot off. He's contributing on both sides of the ball. He's a good post passer high, and low, can make a move from the mid-post. He'll step out on occasion for a 3ptr from the top, or corner. He'll rebound, and defend the post.
