He can handle, but plays mostly off ball, making cuts, and moving around the perimeter looking for a catch 3 without much hesitation. He’s a ball mover with good vision, using bounce passes, and other ways spotting cutters, feeding the post. He can use his dribble to attack the basket, usually under control.

Hastings continues to grow his game. He’s a good ball handler, plays under control, makes good use of his body on drives to the basket, handling contact. He can knock down 3-pointers with good looks from around the perimeter, and hit the mid-range jumper off the dribble. He handles in transition seeing, and looking to make the pass up. He can settle and run the offense in half-court

A solid combo guard, he does a solid job of moving to the top running the offense keeping his dribble live and making the extra pass. He’s a hard driver into the paint. He’s a hard playing guard that runs the court in transition, works hard on the defensive side of the ball
