Expert Analysis
Britt Wright | Prep Hoops Scout
His newest role is coming off the bench playing power forward, or center. He’s a productive player, usually keeps himself in good position for points in the paint, and going after offensive rebounds. Most of his points come in the paint, but he can shoot corner 3’s if open. He makes good use of his body rebounding and defending in and around the post area. He’s a good passer, and a key contributor on this team.

An undersized post prospect with good fundamentals. Plays well off two feet to get his paint points, pump fakes, step throughs, he can hit the short jumper coming from the baseline, and top. He’s capable of knocking down the 3 in the corner. He’s a good passer/ball mover. He gives good effort defending taller players, fights for position, uses his body, and feet boxes out going for rebounds.

Archuleta is a physical and skilled forward that can operate in the paint, as well as space the floor with the jumper. Archuleta crashes the boards on both ends, provides second chance scoring opportunities on putbacks, and runs the floor well in the open court to get open for passes up the court. Archuleta has good hands in the paint to receive entry passes, has good timing on dives off the pick and roll, and has nice touch on finishes around the basket. Archuleta has the strong build to finish through contact at the basket and is effective with the jumper from the mid-post to bring bigs away from the basket. He will be relied upon to provide the interior presence for the Crusaders this coming season.

Standing around 6’6 he’s carved out a way to be a contributor on one of NorCal’s top team. He’s a screener, ball mover, helps others get open looks. He has some effect in the paint area, and along the baselines. He’ll get closer with a dribble, go up strong off two around the basket. He gives effort going after rebounds, and defending his position. He’s an improving player.
