2027 Rankings: New Additions

Matthew is one of the most intriguing prospects we have added to our 2027 list. Matt has the height of a forward and the offensive skillset of a go-to guard/wing. He can create his own shot off the dribble thanks to his elusive and shifty handle. Shakes off defenders with ease whether utilizing his size and strength or with his speed on the perimeter. Shoots the ball very well outside and inside the arc, and proved all summer he can create space and score effectively off the dribble. Matthew is not afraid to get down low and drive the ball inside, looking to finish strong over the smaller defenders and take the contact from helping bigs. A lot to like from Chaplin as he has a chance to grab the attention of some big-time recruiters if he can fill his game out. Very versatile wing prospect for any college program.     Jovani is a smooth operator with the ball in his hands and looks to score in many ways. He does best at coming off screens and getting looks at the rim from different angles. Jovani can shoot at a high clip from all over the floor. He can get into the midrange off the dribble and fire off floaters and pullups over the late contests. Jovani shows true combo guard ability, playing well as the main ball-handler. He can keep his eyes up and views the whole floor for openings to attack.     Mario is a jack-of-all-trades on the floor. I've seen him take over a game with his relentless attack on both ends of the floor. Mario is comfortable guarding the 1 through the 5 whether inside or outside the paint. He's got great timing and can block shots and rebound to close possessions all game long. Mario has some nice ability to get by his defender with his speed and strength. Finishes well at the rim and has a good second-jump ability to follow shots and keep the offense alive. High-volume player that never takes a play off.     Will makes the move over from O'Connell to sure up a deep Mt. Zion roster. Can handle the rock on the perimeter and create for himself at a much better rate. Will can shoot the ball well from range and makes the defense pay with space. I like his work in the midrange area, can really do damage on the floor creating from inside the perimeter with less dribbles. Uses his strength well underneath the rim and sheds off defense on his drives with his big-guard frame. Hoping to see another jump in his progression during his time in Lanham with the Warriors.     John is a quick guard that can get anywhere on the floor with his combination of speed and handle. Played at a great pace over the summer and earned a spot in our rankings following his team camp performance. Can shoot the ball from deep when given the opportunity. I liked how he looked patient within the offense over the summer and played with a resilience that could not be ignored.
