Boy, was Buchberger on top of his game for Team 10 in its outing against Team 9. He scored at a very high clip in the contest, hitting some threes while also getting to the basket in the halfcourt, and earning some hoops in transition. The Pewaukee prospect can play either guard position and his ability to use ball fakes to get into the lane to finish with floaters or with short bank shots off the glass kept defenders off balance in Appleton.

The younger brother of standout Regis senior [player_tooltip player_id='2375323' first='Blake' last='Risler'], [player_tooltip player_id='2369880' first='Bennett' last='Risler'] knows a thing or two about how to play basketball in his own right. He flashed a high basketball IQ, excellent skills and the ability to score at a high level at the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase. Risler scored from outside the arc, from the mid range and at the rim for his squad while also showing a good feel for the game in terms of getting his teammates involved and rebounding on both ends of the court. He looks like a varsity player from the get go for coach Connor Miller at Regis.

Bratchett is definitely a smaller guard, but his quickness makes up for his lack of size. A blur with the ball in his hands, Bratchett is a confident ball handler and a very good on-ball defender. He figures to grow over the next few years which will make his play-making and defense even more effective for coach Chris Robinson and the Greyhounds of Shorewood.

Oshkosh West has a good one in Schmidt, a versatile wing with size, skill and solid basketball instincts. Schmidt scored off the dribble and from outside the arc for his team in Appleton. He also showed the ability to guard on the perimeter while contributing rebounds on both ends of the court. Schmidt might get the chance to earn some minutes for coach Dan Weisse at Oshkosh West this winter, and figures to be a key player for the Wildcats over the next several seasons.

Malone was impressive for Team 10, scoring in bunches with his ability to get to the basket and complete plays. Malone has good size, good strength for such a young player and the confidence to get to the rim. He was able to draw several fouls and converted some foul shots while also getting teammates involved with his court vision. Malone can play either guard position and is a capable perimeter defender as well.

Seems like every year there are good young players at Homestead and that is the case again with Paty among the elite class of 2029 prospects at the North Shore Conference school. The speedy 5-foot-11 guard did a lot of different things for Team 10 as he defended well, got into the lane to distribute and scored when the opportunity presented itself. Look for Paty to successfully follow in the footsteps of other stellar guards at Homestead over the past several seasons.

A very good athlete who has a bright future at Brookfield Central, Jenkins competes with good basketball instincts. Like a lot of ninth graders, Jenkins is a bit raw in some aspects of the game, but he can evolve into a really good player for the Lancers with hard work and skill development. His athleticism and feel for the game are already advanced for his age. A wing prospect to keep an eye on over the next few seasons.

A small but extremely competitive guard, Leisses likes to mix it up on the basketball floor. Whether he's putting pressure on opponents with his on-ball defense or knocking the ball away while sliding down to the post, Leisses is a pest on defense. He has good ball handling and passing skills on offense as well.
