Putnam County

Putnam County has unfinished business after a 27-3 season. The War Eagles' high-octane backcourt returns paced by [player_tooltip player_id='2731428' first='J'Mari' last='Greene'], who netted 18.8 points per game. He is a physical scorer with an effortless three-point shot. He is joined by [player_tooltip player_id='2742393' first='Tamaud' last='Woodson'] (12.5 ppg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2742456' first='Jeremy' last='Banks'] (9.3 ppg). When Putnam County is turning over teams with their press and hitting jump shots, they are extremely tough to beat. Jaden Hillsman is a new face from Lake Oconee Academy (12.1 ppg, 8.1 rpg) who should add even more firepower.

Southwest-Macon

A state championship inexplicably slipped through the Patriots' hands but Southwest should be considered a favorite to return to the big game behind the terrific twosome of [player_tooltip player_id='1543486' first='Chase' last='Dupree'] (20 ppg, 6.6 rpg) and [player_tooltip player_id='2031393' first='CJ' last='Howard'] (15.6 ppg, 4.7 apg). Howard was phenomenal in the Centreplex, nearly leading the Pats to the title himself as he dumped in 31 points. Dupree has had a monster offseason, breaking the seal with D-I coaches as he landed offers from Alcorn State and Southeast Missouri State. Alex Butts moves in from Westside-Macon and could play important minutes as a junior swingman.

Rabun County

[player_tooltip player_id='1861339' first='Huey' last='Blalock'] has been an All-State level playmaker since Day 1 and is now entering his final season. The offensive juggernaut recorded 19.9 points and 8.3 assists per game. He is the head of the snake making everyone around him better. Combo forward [player_tooltip player_id='2887558' first='Hayes' last='Free'] is an inside-outside option. He scores in the paint off Blalock dishes and is a solid three-point shooter who opens up the floor. Hayes netted 15.4 points and 7.9 rebounds as a junior. [player_tooltip player_id='2297123' first='Reed' last='Burrell'] scored 10 points a night as a sophomore but freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2887540' first='Trace' last='Adcock'] is who is expected to be an X-Factor, the lanky shooting guard a 3&D candidate with an outstanding scoring touch from the perimeter.

Commerce

Commerce is quick, athletic and let it fly from deep, especially [player_tooltip player_id='2853085' first='Maki' last='Mitchell'] who drilled 99 threes at a 40% clip to averaged 12.7 points per game. Ty Sorrells fills up the box score, averaging 9.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 2.1 steals while [player_tooltip player_id='2880580' first='Essien' last='Lockleer'] tallied 9.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6 assists and 2.5 steals. Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2462566' first='Bryson' last='Parks'] has an intriguing ceiling. He chipped in 7.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season.
