Recent offers from Alcorn State and Southeast Missouri State validate the production, but the interest should only continue to grow. Dupree is wired to score. He can heat up in a hurry and put pressure on a defense from multiple levels. Whether it’s creating space off the bounce, rising confidently into pull-ups, or knocking down shots off movement, he has the offensive firepower to swing games. When he’s aggressive downhill, he plays through contact and finishes with toughness. His recent surge feels sustainable, not streaky — the confidence, shot selection and overall efficiency have all trended upward. High-level scoring guards are always valuable, and Dupree’s trajectory suggests there’s still more upside to unlock.

Chase has continued to pile in points during the high school season, upping his average from 20 points per game as a junior to a whopping 27.7 points to go along with 3.6 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.7 steals. Through 10 games he is shooting 54% from the field and has connected on 24 threes at a 32% rate. The three-level scorer has also drawn 88 free throw attempts, converting on 65%. The wiry bucket getter is among the toughest covers in the state.

Dupree is a skilled combo guard that knows how to score and facilitate, especially in transition. The 6-3 sophomore combo guard is very effective when it comes to the transition game as he can push the basketball up the floor in a hurry. He has a strong IQ as well as great court awareness where he can be effective when it comes to scoring on the attack against multiple defenders. Dupree is already receiving offers from Georgia Southern, Mercer and North Carolina A&T. On the defensive end, he plays with a ton of versatility and doesn’t take any possessions off. Keep your eyes on this kid for the next two years as he is the real deal of a future college prospect.

As Dupree embarks on his sophomore season at 2A Southwestern, collegiate programs are already taking notice of his game. Not just collegiate programs – Division I collegiate programs. North Carolina A&T and Mercer have already extended offers to Dupree. He is effective in the transition game and can get emphatic with how he finishes at the rim. Dupree also understands when the right time is to score and when it is the correct moment to pass. He also does the little things such as deliver all-out hustle that may not show up on the stat sheet, but go a long way in ensuring victories.
