Totino-Grace is stacked with talent. Does anybody in this league have the returning players to challenge? To maybe be a top ten team? We have a look today!

Becker

[player_tooltip player_id='2399176' first='Bryce' last='Paumen'] (2026). Want to talk about a guy who is both one of the toughest players in the state and a guy who is likely the top All State candidate that many don't know? That is Bryce. Do you know that this 6'3 tough guy forward averaged, yes AVERAGED 18 points and almost 12 rebounds a game last year? He set a single season record for rebounds at Becker. He scored on 58 percent of his field goals, 71 percent of his foul shots and expect him on the Class AAA Preseason All State team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1628775' first='Sawyer' last='Brown'] (2026). Let's stay with that tough guy theme on the hard wood. Brown is a leader with the basketball that led the team in everything that Paumen didn't: 4.5 assists per, 2.4 steals per, and 1.3 blocks per game plus the 17.5 points and 4.5 rebounds a game. Brown is a football recruit but this 6'1 guard was a 48 percent field goal shooter and 71 percent foul shooter. Another Becker player that you may have overlooked as he's not all over AAU but the kid can play at a high level versus their opponents.

[player_tooltip player_id='1506327' first='Nathan' last='Weiss'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Petermeier). Weiss scored 13.7 points per game last season and is another double figure scoring returning starter for Becker. Nathan improved his three point shooting from 32.4 percent during his junior winter to 41 percent during his 17u season. The 6'3 three man had a great shooting summer and if that continues.... this team will be even more dangerous.

Big Lake

[player_tooltip player_id='1628769' first='Owen' last='Wilczek'] (2026). If Owen is healthy and ready to roll, he is one of the top players we are talking about today. He scored 15 points per game when he was on the court last year (missed time in the middle of the year) and he could have a monster senior year. Owen is 6'6 and a baseball recruit, he is committed to Cincinnati as a big time pitcher, but he is a really good hooper too.

[player_tooltip player_id='2462338' first='Lane' last='Pettis'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Kuhl). Pettis averaged 12 points a game including a 26 point game at North Branch and 21 scored at Paynesville. Pettis is listed as a 5'10 guard and the Hornets need a big playmaking year from him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2413330' first='Judd' last='Layton'] (2028, [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets']). Layton is a very active frontcourt player that scored ten points a game as a freshman and he is now going to be a big part of a team that has some pieces for a good season. Layton was one of the most active and productive players at the Sophomore Showcase.

Fridley

[player_tooltip player_id='2379323' first='Brevon' last='Robinson'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']). Every year Fridley has a player that had a good junior year - Brevon scored 8.4 points a game last season - that takes a monster step and has a big time senior year. Could that be Brevon this year? Robinson had a good season with the Sizzle this 17u season and is now a senior that will be relied on in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id='2779906' first='Tyrone' last='Washington'] (2027). Washington is a guard that also averaged eight points a game last year, and was used as a playmaker often last winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2780787' first='Jenovic' last='Kadindula'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']). This 6'4 combo forward scored six points a game last season but was needed to do things all over the frontcourt, working on ball screens, etc etc. Jenovic is also a good football prospect and a player with size that we expect to have a big winter.

Princeton

[player_tooltip player_id='2121382' first='Noah' last='Stencel'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']). Stencel is a two time all conference player that scored followed up an 18.6 point per game sophomore season with a 21 plus points per game junior season. Noah shot the ball well at 17u and he is a 6'2 high academic guard that has high academic college written all over him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835369' first='Matthew' last='Hallberg'] (2028). Hallberg scored nine points a game last year as a freshman guard and he should step right into that second scorer role as a sophomore.

Cody Durham (2026). Cody is a 6'2 wing that is used at both the two and the three. He scored over seven points a game last year as a junior and should extend the court for a Princeton team with a lot of quality wing scoring options.

St. Francis

[player_tooltip player_id='2848082' first='Hunter' last='Olson'] (2027). Hunter is the top returning player for the Saints with an average of 6.2 points and 3.5 rebounds a game. Olson is a 6'2 wing.

Tanner Rothbauer (2026). Tanner is a six foot guard that scored five points a game last year and is likely to be the leader this year. He is a high academic kid that is committed to UMD in football.

[player_tooltip player_id='2390511' first='Beckham' last='Shlepnev'] (2026, Minnesota Crossfire). Becker is a ball handler that scored two buckets a game off the bench last season and should have a bigger role this winter.

Totino-Grace

[player_tooltip player_id='2126117' first='Malachi' last='Hill'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). Hill is the leading scorer (14ppg) and creator (led in assists) for TG and enters the season a preseason All State Class AAA pick. When it comes to playing lead guard there is a feel for the position and you have it or you don't. Hill has it, and at times he can be that scorer the team needs but usually he is making sure the team runs on all cylinders.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). Dothan is a 6'6 wing that had a nice junior season at 12.4 points per game plus he lead the team in boards (6.5 a contest). Dothan, who committed to Drake this spring, is one of the seniors that will be on the list for Mr. Basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560835' first='Tian' last='Chatman'] (2026, Team FSA). Tian scored ten points a game last year and it's his versatility that is so good for the Eagles. He can take a defensive role, handle some, board, move the ball in the right way, etc etc. A versatile player that can be plugged in in a lot of areas.

Zimmerman

[player_tooltip player_id='2145758' first='Thomas' last='McEachern'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']). This explosive 18 point per game scoring wing with size became a better shooter and when you can shoot, and you can athletically go at the rim, you are a potential division two option. Thomas became that this off-season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2424654' first='Lucas' last='Lemke'] (2027, Minnesota Crossfire). Lemke scored eight points per game last year as a sophomore ball handler and then followed that up with a nice season for the Crossfrie. Lemke should make a big jump this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417344' first='Joe' last='Larson'] (2027). Larson is a football prospect that screams tough guy at running back and linebacker and he brought that to the basketball court last year scoring six points a game playing a tough guy role.
