Brevon is a tough-as-nails two-way guard who helped lead Fridley to a win over a young and talented Bloomington Kennedy squad on Monday night. At 6’2 he’s able to put some length on opposing guards, and does a great job of applying non-stop pressure on the ball. Did a great job of helping keep Kennedy’s leading scorer quite in the second half, while also coming up with some big shots of his own. Off-ball movement helped him create some easy looks at the rim where he was finishing at a high percentage.
I was really impressed with the defensive effort that Brevon was competing with on Sunday. He wasn’t backing down from a challenge of guarding top prospects, and was making them work on every possession. Brevon showed quick feet moving laterally, and he was putting in the effort to sit deep in a stance and consistently cut guys off when they looked to drive. Hard working player who has some length at 6’2 that could allow him to guard the 1-3 spots this season for Fridley.
