Pro West Exposure Camp Eye Catchers

The Pro West Exposure Camp, a growing event that attracts prospect from NorCal and the West was held at The Fieldhouse in Walnut Creek, CA. There were more than 160 prospects who competed over the two day event. Here are some of the Eye Catchers for Sunday from this event.    He displayed his all around guard skills using speed, and quickness. His good handles, and burst makes it difficult for defenders to stay with him. He drives from different angles in half-court, his speed in transition makes him hard to guard when he's going forward. He can spot up for 3's. Throws it down in transition.     He continues to sharpen his point guard skills. A good ball handler, moves the ball, shows patience up top. He doesn't get sped up, plays under control, but has the ability to get aggressive when looking for a basket using body, and speed to get to the basket. We saw some defensive qualities, foot speed, and lateral movement to stick. He has an improved jump shot.     A solid body point guard who can be productive working off ball. He has strength, and leverage along with good ball handling to get to the basket, take the contact, and convert. He has good vision, handles ball pressure bringing it up court, he can settle the offense.     He's made good strides this past Spring, and Summer. He's playing with confidence, and aggressively looking to put points on the board in different ways. We know he can get into a rhythm shooting 3's. His improved dribble allows him to aggressively attack defenders, get to the basket, getting it high off the glass, and over defenders, or pull-up for the short jumper.     He's improved his shooting range, and ball handling. He'll shoot corner 3's, use his size, has an aggressive dribble along the baseline, and other areas to get closer the rim. He's a standout rebounder at 6'5, often going out of his area to get rebounds on both ends. He has the tools to be an effective scorer in, and around the paint, using power moves, going up strong off two feet. He runs the court, has the size and strength defend the post at this level.     Villanueva is one of the better 3-point shooters in the Sacramento Area. He has movement without the ball, sets his feet quickly, has a good arc on his shot, and a smooth release with range. He can drop 3's from all along the perimeter, and coming up court in transition. He's an improving ball handler, showing he can drive it for paint jumpers, contact layups, he has some finishing moves around the basket, and will kick it out to open shooters.
