Villanueva is one of the better 3-point shooters in the Sacramento Area. He has movement without the ball, sets his feet quickly, has a good arc on his shot, and a smooth release with range. He can drop 3’s from all along the perimeter, and coming up court in transition. He’s an improving ball handler, showing he can drive it for paint jumpers, contact layups, he has some finishing moves around the basket, and will kick it out to open shooters.

He’s a 3-point shooter, he spots up in the corners, shot ready, his mates look for him. He’ll use a dribble or two to hit the short jumper, or drive into the paint. He runs wide in transition, he’ll finish layups if there’s a path. He look for open shots behind the 3pt line, and corners. He made a good bounce passes to the post. In two games we counted 9-3’s made.

He’s a good all around contributor, standing only 6’2 he’s a good rebounding guard, doesn’t mind mixing it up. He has good ball handling and passing, he can work the baseline finishing with a bucket or pass. He squares up for 3 in the corners. He gives good effort defending multiple positions.
