Another year of the Prep Hoops Expo in Maryland is in the books and it was an opportunity for 100 prospects to put themselves on the radar or build to their already rising stock heading into the 2025-26 high school season. For this article, we'll highlight the members who were voted as all-second team as a result of their productive Sunday afternoon showings.

Edwards is coming off a productive summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2458561' first='Global' last='Squad'] where he developed as a confident primary creator on the ball both for himself and others. That theme remained in Sunday's showing as he consistently beat his man off the dribble to get into the paint and make things happen from there. His processing and anticipation skills allow him to make the right read in split-second situations. He finished with both hands around the rim, utilized soft touch on his floaters and made weakside defenders pay by zipping passes cross court for open shots. Edwards is a stout on-ball defender that can cause havoc and did his due diligence on the glass as well.

Hawkins seems primed for a nice season at Avalon as a sophomore and it all starts with his long-range shooting ability. The little cousin of current New Orleans Pelican guard Jordan Hawkins, Jevon spent the afternoon filling it up from beyond the arc whether or not a hand was in his face. He made his first few off the catch, but as the defense adjusted and crowded him in the ensuing possessions, Hawkins got the ball into space and was able to comfortably get into his shot off the dribble with the same results. He's quiet, but he has a cold-blooded mentality when it comes to making his defender's day a tough one at the office.

Pierre-Louis looks the part as a young prospect with intriguing potential thanks to his frame that boasts nice size with plus length. His overall skill set is becoming more fluid by the month and it was good to see him in grab-and-go situations where he made sound decisions with the ball in transition. In the half court, he showed off his improved shot that he gets off timely with confidence. If this part of his game continues to trend in this direction, he'll be a valuable screening option for Georgetown Prep this season. Defensively he used his length well to alter shots around the rim and close down possessions by hauling in boards at their peak.

Chaplin will be a name that is on the rise in the MIAA B Conference this season and Sunday was a good indication as to why. Standing around 6-foot-6, Chaplin thrived getting downhill for straight-line drives where he used his burst to get by opposing wings or bigs and finished high around the rim. He was aggressive with his touches, which fueled him on the defensive end to corral rebounds and spark transition opportunities himself. Chaplin's jumper wasn't falling as it usually does, but if he can become more consistent in that sense and really tune into his defensive upside, his ceiling rises even higher.

Among the movement around the Baltimore Metro area, Cowan will be one that has a big impact for his new team. City is looking to defend their state title run from last season and after losing key pieces of the roster, Cowan will be a name that is looked to to fill a massive void. He plays bigger than his listed height and is starting to gain some twitch in 1-on-1 scenarios. Along with [player_tooltip player_id='2722710' first='Camari' last='Stewart'], the Knights will have a versatile duo at the forward spot.
