Possessing a glaring strong and bruising athletic frame, Noah Cowan impressed in the way he was able to leverage those physical tools to be at his best in the paint, absorbing contact from defenders and finishing with efficiency around the basket when getting downhill and attacking driving angles. Cowan further showcased a more diverse scoring attack as the action wained, mixing in some mid range area shot making off the bounce, showing a sample size of his smooth in between area pull up game.

Cowan looks to make a major impact for City as the Knights will have huge voids to fill after last year’s state title team graduated the likes of Omarr Smith Jr. (New Mexico State). The 6-foot-3 forward should mesh well within the up-tempo style of play that Baltimore City Public School hands its hat on and the rate at which he rebounds makes him a much bigger presence around the rim than his listed height.

-Cowan took home second team honors in this one because of his dynamic impact at both ends of the floor as a wing that can body up with forwards but can also flash guard skills in the halfcourt. Cowan showed the athleticism right from the tip off with a great rotation to the weakside for a block in the early going. His combination of size and assertive play made him one of the better defenders in the event as he raced back several times in transition to force a miss and start a fastbreak possession for his own team. Liked his ability to finish with either hand around the basket with a series of finesse moves but he also wasted little time getting on the rim as an explosive dunker that likes to throw an emphatic flourish on transition drives with 1-handed spikes.

Among the movement around the Baltimore Metro area, Cowan will be one that has a big impact for his new team. City is looking to defend their state title run from last season and after losing key pieces of the roster, Cowan will be a name that is looked to to fill a massive void. He plays bigger than his listed height and is starting to gain some twitch in 1-on-1 scenarios. Along with
