Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase – Team 5 Evaluations

Not only is it a great opportunity for our staff to get an early evaluation of some of the most talented freshmen before the begin their high school career, but it also serves as an important evaluation/recruiting tool for our state's many great AAU programs. This year we welcomed in over 100 of the best Class of 2029 prospects here in Indiana. Out of Lawrence Central High School, Berryhill is a shorter lead guard who played with a lot of hustle. Coming out of Park Tudor High School, his smaller size didn't hinder him, as he proved to be very dynamic on the ball being able to get to the lane any time he wanted to. Representing Geneva High School in Illinois, there may not have been a player with a higher motor than what he showed. Coming from Avon High School, Johnson is a player with long arms who looks to still be growing into his body. He has a smooth style of play right now and can shoot it from three while also being a good passer. At around 6'1, [player_tooltip player_id='2873209' first='Powell' last=''] is a true combo guard who played well both on and off the ball. I thought he had some of the better handles I saw on the day out of the many freshmen I watched on Sunday. At around 6'1, Pruett used his frame well on the wing, displaying a solid jumper from deep and taking his defender off the dribble to make plays at the basket. Representing Itown Prep, Russom was always challenging shots on the defensive end and showed toughness throughout the whole game.
