Powell was one of the prospects that we were not familiar with coming into the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. However, that is exactly why we host this event. He admittedly grabbed our attention in 3-on-3 by catching fire from beyond the arc. The 6’1″ guard was making stepbacks, catch-and-shoot looks from well beyond the arc, and hit a couple on the move as well. It was an incredibly impressive shot-making display. His ability then translated to 5-on-5 play as he stayed hot from three-point range. Powell, a freshman at Edgewood High School, was one of the best shooters in the gym on Sunday.
