NJ Legacy Paterson Fall Ball: Tuesday, September 9th Standouts

Fall leagues are now underway across New Jersey, with high school prospects actively competing in various preseason leagues and showcases throughout the state. Already this week, we've seen players begin to carve out what could be new or expanded roles heading into the upcoming season. One of the key events on the fall calendar is New Jersey Legacy's Fall Ball League, held at the historic Paterson Catholic in Paterson, NJ. With that in mind, let's take a look at some of the standout performers from Tuesday night's action.    [player_tooltip player_id='2344534' first='James' last='Roberts'] continues to show improvements as a creator off the bounce, as he finished in a number of crafty ways around the basket off of half court dribble drives. Roberts was also extremely effective in transition as a scorer— grabbing rebounds off the glass, pushing the break and finishing in traffic on the other end. Roberts also displayed a tighter and more confident handle in combination with his improved creativity off the bounce.     [player_tooltip player_id='2883913' first='Pharoahe' last='Dixon'] displayed his scoring versatility with aggressive downhill attacks finishing strong through contact. Dixon exhibited good body control when going up against contact on opposing rim contests. Dixon mixed up his scoring attack, displaying some in between finishes and his smooth perimeter shooting off the catch.     Isaac Anderson impressed with his guard skills at his size. Anderson showcased his ability to not only handle it in the open floor but also in his ability to attack closeouts and change directions off the bounce. Anderson was also extremely impactful on the offensive glass, constantly crashing the glass and getting cutbacks.     Ilijah Adams used his quickness in combination with his good court vision to make plays for his teammates not only in the half court but also in transition. Adams thrived at getting deep in the paint and making quick decisions. Adams was also disruptive defensively playing with active hands and great anticipation turning opposing ball handlers over. Adams also mixed in a few crafty finishes when he got in the lane.     J'Khai Singletary excelled in transition— initiating offense and pushing the break himself while also being just as effective as a lane runner, often times finishing above the rim. Singletary flashed his perimeter shot making ability with a smooth and compact release. Singletary also flashed his ability to use to his length in combination with his athleticism and tremendous motor to be impactful not only on the offensive glass but also contesting shot attempts at the rim.     Tysean Scott's athleticism was extremely glaring with not only his ability to finish above the rim in the open floor but also his explosive first step attacking the basket off the bounce. Scott made a number of highlight plays on both the offensive end and the defensive end of the floor. Scott also flashed his three point shot making ability.     Jacob Wilder thrived as not only a floor general, setting the table for Paterson Charter's offense and getting his teammates involved but also as a source of shot making. Wilder knocked down shots in the mid range area and from three point territory while also mixing in a couple of crafty finishes at the rim.
