continued to show increased comfort and pace as a ball handler initiating offense against ball pressure and making good decisions navigating PnR actions, particularly hitting rolling divers and locating moving shooters out on the perimeter. Providing his usual offensive production, Roberts also showcased his perimeter shooting prowess— knocking down outside shots with efficiency and natural shooting mechanics as a spot up shooter as well as creating a little bit of space off the bounce and hitting outside shots off the dribble. With East Orange able to generate a boatload of offense in the open floor, Roberts also excelled at putting pressure on the basket in transition and finishing above the rim.

has routinely proved how vital he is to this team’s offensive success— ultimately showcasing the consistent value he brings while continuing to polish the all around aspects of his game as a more versatile guard. Roberts has displayed growing confidence as a creator— particularly attacking closeouts off the bounce, operating with poise and making sharp reads in different PnR actions, and getting downhill into the lane while maintaining strong court vision to find open shooters on drives. Paired with his more than dependable ability to knock down perimeter jumpers as a spot up threat, Roberts’ development into a more well rounded and impactful guard is definitely worth the attention of coaches at the next level.
Dating back to as far as this past high school season, Roberts has received interest from the likes of Yale and Dartmouth with hopes of receiving additional interest from other high academic programs.

Electric guard who’s a threat to make big shots throughout the game. Uses his quickness to blow by the defense and attacks closeouts. Lives in the paint and can find others. He has a nice layup package around the bucket and found ways to get around defenses. Roberts can not be left open if he is behind the arc or he will make you pay. He can play it multiple gears showing some flashes as a creator for others. I feel like he’s more of a scoring lead guard than a primary distributor at this stage.

‘ 30 point scoring performance versus Piscataway saw him eclipse his 1,000th career point. Countering his typical smooth and lethal shooting touch while possessing a tighter and more confident handle, Roberts impressed with the different ways he created off the bounce— utilizing change of direction moves to get in the paint and finish, getting to his spots and hitting smooth mid range pull ups, attacking driving angles out of the triple threat position, and even attacking in transition and putting pressure on the rim for athletic above the rim finishes.

continues to show strides in his expanded skillset— a more polished floor game that features his expanded comfortability creating off the bounce. Roberts looked more natural attacking driving lanes and manipulating different PnR coverages to create for himself off the dribble and finish in traffic at the rim. Roberts impressed with not only his growing understanding and confidence attacking certain driving angles but also the poise he played with in certain PnR scenarios— setting up ball screens, splitting defenders, and playing off two feet. Roberts also showed good intangibles at the POA as an on ball defender as well as an off ball defender— forcing steals and turnovers to turn defense into easy offense in transition.
