An extremely impactful and valuable decision making guard, Will Dyer Will Dyer 5'9" | PG East Orange | 2027 State NJ brings a unique dynamic to the backcourt despite his undersized frame, highlighted particularly by his strong feel for the game in conjunction with a potent understanding of the value in doing the little things that determine winning possessions. Dyer consistently displays a lot of the intangibles that smaller guards rely on to offset their physical disadvantages— poise against defensive pressure while using his tight handle to attack gaps and break down defenses, advanced in recognizing opportunities to push the pace while also knowing when to be patient, along side his defining strength in generating quality looks navigating ball screens with pace and playing unselfishly in prioritizing ball movement to help the offense find better shots. And even adding value on the defensive end of the floor using his pesky and disruptive defensive presence to pressure the ball from end to end while showcasing active hands and impressive anticipation. In a showcase setting that encourages prospects to operate beyond their established identities, Dyer displayed flashes of his shot creation ability— creating separation off the dribble with a level of creativity and pace off the bounce to break defenders down and get to his spots.

An extremely impactful guard who hangs his hat on doing the little things that go a long way in impacting winning, Will Dyer Will Dyer 5'9" | PG East Orange | 2027 State NJ was his usual self in East Orange’s early June action. Dyer’s impact was felt the most in his playmaking ability, particularly in the open floor and in half court offense— pushing the pace in transition to get in the paint and spray the ball out, PnR navigation, and making the extra pass for better shots. All while also providing ball pressure and intensity defensively.
