<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The latest 2028 prospect rankings have been released by our PHI staff!&nbsp; Here we examine the best of the best at the point guard position!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley'] (Richwoods)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Smith-Holley has been excellent from the first time we saw him and we have never relented as him as the top point guard in the class.&nbsp; As a freshman he was a dominant player from the jump and has continued to improve through the spring and summer.&nbsp; His elite athleticism and burst with the ball in his hands is his best asset.&nbsp; He has blow by ability at will getting to the rim for acrobatic finishes and is throwing down massive dunks as he recently showed at the Sophomore ID Camp!&nbsp; Good pull up jump shooter that creates getting into his own shot.&nbsp; Slick passer and has active hands on D getting steals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2467517' first='Darrius' last='Hawkins'] (Homewood Flossmoor)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hawkins bumped up to the #2 point guard after an excellent spring and summer with both Team Herro and HF.&nbsp; Hawkins is a strong and compact lead guard that can really score it from all three levels.&nbsp; Tight handles getting to his spot.&nbsp; Takes and makes tough jump shots.&nbsp; Accelerates with the ball in his hands and finishes well through contact at the rim.&nbsp; Will be the go to guy for HF this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531970' first='Ben' last='Ojala'] (Evanston)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ojala is a smooth lead guard with crisp ball handling and is a quality distributor.&nbsp; His biggest value comes in his shot making from beyond the three point arc.&nbsp; Lights out shot maker from deep that has a quick and effortless release.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531962' first='Amir' last='Tucker'] (St. Ignatius)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tucker is a wiry lead guard that continues to grow and has added some strength.&nbsp; Pushes the tempo with his speed and vision.&nbsp; He is a quality pull up jump shooter that knocks them in at a good rate.&nbsp; High IQ guard that understands the game well for such a young player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2531979' first='CJ' last='Pittman'] (Walter Payton)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pittman is a strong and stocky guard in the CPS that plays with a high-motor.&nbsp; Like how he is always in attack mode especially as a scorer where he wins off the bounce and pushes the pace in the open floor.&nbsp; Look for a big season from him as a sophomore!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
