The junior guard is an exceptional defender who will be in your face for 94ft, and really prides himself on that side of the ball. He has the ability to score on all 3 levels, with an explosive first step, an excellent mid-range game, and a knock down 3-point shooter, Nestor can score in bunches. Charlotte seems to have tremendous guard play year in and year out, and this season will be no difference. Newson is an explosive guard who can score 20+ any given night, but also excels in the passing game and getting his teammates involved. Powell has great size and strength, and can affect the game in a number of ways. He has able to guard any position on the floor and is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the court. Powell can score on all 3-levels, and can can be deadly when he gets hot from behind the arc. He has tremendous speed and quickness, and is a gritty defender who has a knack for forcing turnovers and turning defense into offense. The 5'10" CG has elite handles and a quick first step, where he looks to attack the defender and get to the basket. The 6'4" SF is extremely athletic and likes to attack the basket and finish above the rim. He has tremendous jumping ability and is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor. He has the ability play down low, but also has a solid mid-range game to keep the defense honest.
