We are less than a month out from the annual Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Joining the Freshman Showcase as arguably the best event that we put on every year, over 100 of the state's best rising sophomores will put their talent on display in front of our team of scouts. This is an important time to get reevaluated for Class of 2028. We may have seen you last fall at our Freshman Showcase, but outside of the top prospects who played varsity as a freshman, a lot could have changed since our scouts last had a chance to evaluate these young prospects. Here are eight guys that we really look forward to watching in early September.

A talented guard, both on and off of the ball, Cheesman showcased his abilities over the course of the summer. The 5'10" guard shoots in well when playing the "2" and is more-than-capable creator when playing the lead guard spot. We are excited to get a further evaluation the rising sophomore from Roncalli at our upcoming Sophomore ID Camp.

Yet another big time prospect that has signed up for our Sophomore ID Camp, Jones comes in as one of the top scorers among the freshman class last season. The talented 6'3" guard averaged 17.0 points per game at Borden High School and is definitely a young prospect that college coaches will have early interest in recruiting. We look forward to evaluating Jones further in early September.

We had the opportunity to watch this young prospect play a handful of times over the course of the summer and always came away impressed with his skill level. Knox can really shoot it from beyond the arc and is an effective playmaker. He is absolutely unafraid of attacking bigger defenders off of the bounce. Look for him to emerge in a role for Blackhawk Christian this coming season.

In terms of long-term upside, Murphy has a ton to work with. The 6'7" center from Carroll (Fort Wayne) H.S. put together a good summer and continues to impress with this length and two-way ability around the rim. We are really excited to have him at our Sophomore ID Camp to get a further, more complete evaluation of the high-upside young big man.

We were able to see Pearce a lot over the course of the spring and summer as Era Elite 15u was a consistent top team on the Prep Hoops Circuit and various other events in the area. The 6'2" wing is so versatile on the offensive end and causes consistent matchup problems with his combination of size, strength, athleticism, and skill level. Pearce, a rising sophomore at Lanesville High School, is as productive statistically as any player in his class.

One of the highest ranked players, so far, to sign up for our Sophomore ID Camp, Vogt is arguably the best catch-and-shoot threat in Indiana's Class of 2028. He averaged 7.8 points per game as a freshman at West Lafayette High School while shooting an incredible 46-89 (51.7%) from three-point range. We are very excited to have Vogt at our showcase.
