Physically Gifted 2028s we want to see at the Sophomore ID Camp

We're about a month out from the Sophomore ID Camp at Gold Crown on Sunday, September 7th. This is your chance to test yourself against 2028 talent from across the state as we all head out under one roof. I will be on-site to evaluate how your game translates in a showcase setting and get an early read heading into the season. Rankings will be updated shortly after, using this as a key baseline.    Orji is a 6'3 sophomore who got valuable varsity experience as a freshman and proved he belonged. Playing forward and spending much of his time at the high post, he uses his strength to battle inside, compete on the glass, and finish through contact. This year is about stepping into a bigger role and standing out. Jefferson Academy will need his size and physicality, and the showcase is the perfect stage to see how he stacks up against peers, as I want all of the small school prospects to use this as an opportunity to prove he belongs.     Ross is a 6'3 scorer who can attack off the bounce or knock down the catch-and-shoot three. He creates space with his size and shiftiness, as he has great ball control to get clean looks. His vision and passing keep defenses off balance, making him a true dual threat. With his ability to score in bunches and run an offense, we're eager to see him compete with the top sophomores at the showcase and show that he's a name that should be mentioned more.     Stapp is a long, and athletic 6'4 wing that's still finding his ceiling but showing real promise. He didn't see much varsity run as a freshman, yet his activity level and motor stood out at Colorado Live. He boxes out, alters shots, runs the floor, and does the little things that help teams win. We want to see how his length, energy, and improving skill set match up against the state's best sophomores at the showcase as Mead will only go as far as he allows them over the next couple of seasons.     Rogowski is a bigger player with a strong frame. He's a forward who plays with power and purpose. He controls the paint with strong rebounding, seals defenders, and sparks breaks with crisp outlet passes. His physical defense and ability to move opponents make him a problem inside. At the showcase, we want to see how he fares against players with similar size and strength and see if he's got more layers to his game than we've seen so far. He's a player that I enjoyed watching as he does the little things that matter.     Guy is a 6'2 point forward. He was also a major piece in Simla's state title run. He spaces the floor with a smooth jumper, stays shot-ready, and makes smart reads as both a passer and cutter. This season, he'll need to shoulder more scoring, and the showcase is the ideal setting to prove he's ready for that load. He's a player who could certainly stand out in this kind of setting, as I feel the smaller schools get a bit tuned out at times. We want to see how his versatile, high-IQ game looks against the top competition across the state and show that he belongs.
