On Saturday July 26th I attended the Hoopers Only Hoop Life Nationals at the Phhacility in Phx,AZ. I checked out 10 different programs from AZ and here were some of the standouts.

Here were the Standout PG/CG's

[player_tooltip player_id='2134454' first='Kameron' last='Pippen'] Palo Verde (Team RHJ) (Pictured)

A pure point guard who is a super shifty facilitator. He was diming players up all over the court. He hesitates about as well as you can and then gets you on his hip all the way to the basket to get downhill. He will hit the three off the catch and pull-up from mid.

[player_tooltip player_id='2365144' first='Cameron' last='Koehler'] Casteel ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 17)

A bigger combo guard has a smooth handle and jumper. The lefty can shoot it from the three point line off the catch or pull. He is deceptively quick to get to the basket and shows toughness on defense as he will take a charge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2475408' first='Kyree' last='Harder'] Catalina Foothills (O3 Elite 17)

A combo guard who is scrappy on defense to bother opposing ball handlers. He is deceptively quick with the ball and changes speeds well to get to the rim. He is smart off of the pick and roll game and typically finds the open teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2849881' first='Ryan' last='Hitchcock'] Estrella Foothills (Area Code Elite 17)

A lean, sharp shooting combo guard who will rattle in threes with deep range off the catch or pull. Once he gets fouled, he is nearly automatic on the free throw line with one of the easier strokes in the AIA. Look for him to have a monster AIA senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633057' first='Zeshawn' last='Gould'] Shadow Ridge (AZ GorillAZ 17)

A long combo guard is a very good defender with quick feet and hands as a two-way player. He moves the ball and glides in the air on the break to score in transition. He will hit the three off the catch and can get to the line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2250566' first='Jude' last='Mata'] Apollo (AZ GorillAZ 17)

A fluid combo guard with some size. He is a good scorer and facilitator. He sees the court well and will hit the three and pull-up from mid-range. He digs in on defense and plays the right way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1333653' first='Christopher' last='Brookins'] Bella Vista Prep ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 17)

An undersized pure point guard has a super shifty tight handle. He is one of the faster players with the ball in his hands and will jet past defenders. He will score with floaters, runners and layups but then drop off a perfect pass to a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2282935' first='Parker' last='Counts'] Valley Vista ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 17)

A true combo guard has good patience like a point guard but he will score it with pull-ups and threes off the catch. He is very calm to get to his spots with a nice handle and will rise up from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396374' first='Levi' last='Carter'] Willow Canyon ([program_tooltip program_id='2867224' first='Phoenix' last='United'] 16 EYCL)

A cerebral pure point guard who sees the court quickly. He has next level court vision and gets the ball out of his hands like you should. He can score it from the perimeter plus get to the basket with a quick drive.
