My annual Film Room series is back for another year! There were over 100 prospects who submitted High School, Grassroots, or Camp Highlights for review and all will be featured in an article on Prep Hoops. Check out my thoughts on the fifth group of 2026s and watch their film in the post from @AndrewBaxleySC on X (Twitter):

[player_tooltip player_id='2426188' first='Marcus' last='Johnson'] (Dreher) - Leading off Part 5 of the 2026 Film Room is one of my favorite off-the-radar Guards, [player_tooltip player_id='2426188' first='Marcus' last='Johnson']. Marcus is a guy who plays hard every time I watch him live, and his highlight tape matches that theme. His film is very well-balanced, showcasing his vision, handle, and low center of gravity as a playmaker, as well as his ability to shoot in the mid-range and behind the arc. Johnson's film even had a few inbound sets for threes and good defensive ball pressuring moments at the end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1303622' first='Bryson' last='Hardy'] (Westwood) - Next up on the list is another Columbia-area Guard. Bryson attends Westwood HS and is a nice piece for the Redhawks. He plays the game with good bounce, which allows him to excel as a finisher, especially in transition. Hardy has a very good mid-range game as well. On film, most of Bryson's scoring came on the left side of the floor, where he can spot-up with corner threes or attack closeouts with one or two dribbles.

[player_tooltip player_id='2861505' first='Corbin' last='Guerry'] (West Ashley) - After a strong Summer where he began to make a name for himself, I believe Guerry will be a crucial piece for the West Ashley Wildcats and a guy who will start to earn looks from college coaches. Corbin's excellent feet provide a great foundation for the rest of his game. He can work in the post or step out and hit jumpers, is an active and smart defender, and makes the unselfish pass to keep his teammates involved.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918769' first='TJ' last='Filkins'] (North Augusta) - TJ has had a busy past few weeks, announcing his transfer to North Augusta HS and his first offer from Appalachian Bible College. Filkins should be able to contribute on day one for the Yellow Jackets, bringing size, athleticism, and energy whenever he steps on the floor. He stays active without the ball in his hands, cutting to the rim to create passing lanes or finding good positions for rebounds, but he's also a confident shooter all over the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2868500' first='Daytron' last='Cockfield'] (Westwood) - Cockfield stood out multiple times this Summer with Westwood HS and CPB, including the SCBCA Team Camp, where his film came from. Daytron is a versatile Forward who has a very good handle for his size, must be respected as a shooter, and can even score in the post against true bigs. He also covers lots of ground defensively, both as a rim protector and in passing lanes when the Redhawks press.

Jahleel Gaines (Camden) - Rounding out the group is Jahleel Gaines, a new name to Prep Hoops SC. Gaines left a good first impression on me with his film, mixing in highlights from his previous school, North Central HS, with some video from his time with the Bulldogs. Jahleel was very fast in the open floor, but what I liked the most was his package of finishes at the rim. He is one of the most creative finishers that I have seen during this series, featuring several finishes through contact and up-and-under layups around defenders.
