Kain played a key role in guiding Vashon to a dominant season last year, where the team won most of its games by double digits en route to a state championship. One of the smoothest guards you'll find at the high school level, McCaskill plays with poise and control, consistently filling up the stat sheet in a variety of ways. He's an elite rebounder for his position and a reliable scorer from all three levels. With explosive athleticism and a plus wingspan, McCaskill excels in transition, handling the ball with confidence and pushing the pace effectively. His versatility allows him to impact the game on both ends, whether he's facilitating, finishing, or defending. Heading into this winter, McCaskill returns to a loaded Vashon roster but will be expected to take on an even larger role. He'll be tasked with more ball-handling duties, creating offense for himself and others, and continuing to score in a variety of ways -- all while maintaining the high-level energy and consistency he's known for.

Goodwin is coming off a standout junior season in which he led Benton to a state title game appearance. As the team's clear offensive catalyst, he delivered a string of impressive performances that fueled Benton's deep postseason run. He carried that momentum into the summer, where his strong play earned him multiple college offers from programs like Missouri Southern, Rockhurst, William Jewell, and Northwest Missouri State. A crafty and natural scorer, Goodwin is highly effective shooting off the dribble as well as in catch-and-shoot situations. He thrives in one-on-one matchups, using a creative mix of spins, footwork, and pivots to generate clean looks from various spots on the floor. His ability to score in isolation and make tough shots makes him a constant threat. As Benton looks to make another title push this winter, Goodwin will once again be the go-to option. To maximize both his impact and his team's championship hopes, he'll need to continue developing as a playmaker and defender -- rounding out his game and solidifying his presence on both ends of the court.

Reese took a major leap last season, establishing himself as the true definition of a lead guard. He paced Kickapoo with his ability to score, facilitate, and make clutch plays in key moments. A high-level shooter from beyond the arc, Kimrey consistently finds space off the ball with sharp movement and high basketball IQ, connecting on threes at an impressive clip. In addition to his scoring, Kimrey is a strong and unselfish passer. He consistently looks to get teammates involved, using advanced vision, look-away passes, and an instinctive feel for the game -- often seeing plays before they fully develop. His strong summer further cemented his status as a high-value floor general, drawing attention for his leadership and poise. As he enters his senior season, Kimrey returns to lead a talented Kickapoo roster with championship aspirations. For the team to reach its ultimate goal, he'll need to continue doing the little things that win games -- while also driving the offense with his elite playmaking and scoring ability.

Henry continues to fly under the radar at the forward position. While his junior season at Parkway Central didn't result in much team success, he gained valuable experience and showed flashes of strong individual play. This summer, Kokal took major strides in his development, competing against high-level talent and significantly improving his all-around game. After adding size and strength to his frame, he became more effective around the basket -- scoring with a mix of power and finesse, and finishing with either hand. He also rebounded the ball well and used his length to consistently alter and block shots on the defensive end. Heading into his senior season, Kokal will be counted on to raise his production on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he'll need to take on a larger scoring role -- whether operating in the post or taking advantage of perimeter opportunities. If he can rise to the challenge, Parkway Central has a strong chance to be much more competitive this season.

Marshall is an extremely athletic, multi-sport standout who helped lead Blue Springs South to a strong finish last season, highlighted by several key wins. As a junior, he made his mark primarily on the defensive end -- disrupting opposing offenses with relentless on-ball pressure, generating steals, and forcing turnovers at a high rate. Marshall's athleticism also translated well in transition, where he excelled at pushing the pace and finishing at the rim. He had multiple breakout performances where he scored at will, attacking the basket with confidence and knocking down perimeter shots when given space. Heading into his senior year, Marshall will be expected to take on a larger offensive role. For Blue Springs South to reach the next level, he'll need to become a consistent scoring threat from all three levels and improve his ability to create for teammates. If he pairs that offensive growth with his already elite defensive presence, Blue Springs South has a real shot at making a deeper postseason run.
