<p>Standout guard [player_tooltip player_id='1790000' first='Ethan' last='Brown'] of Rolla High has given a commitment to the University of Illinois. Brown made his announcement on his social media account earlier this week.</p>

<p>The talented 6'4" combo guard is currently rated No. 3 in the Prep Hoops Missouri Class of 2026 rankings. He has been a known commodity around the state throughout his career, but he started to pick up some national juice during the summer as he continued to raise his stock.</p>

<p>Brown was tremendous during the June live period with his high school team at the Midwest Showcase in Kansas City. He continued his excellent play in July for the Gateway-Knights 17U squad on the New Balance P32 circuit. Brown had previously held scholarship offers from several strong mid-major programs, but Illinois coach Brad Underwood extended the offer in late July.</p>

<p>Brown will be entering his fourth varsity season as Rolla's showcase player. He has been a prime-time scoring threat since the moment he entered the starting lineup as a freshman. He will end his stellar career having re-written the record books at Rolla. He is already the school's career scoring leader.</p>
