AOG High Academic Skills and Drills Camp 2027

PH NorCal was at the Attitude of Gratitude High Academic Skills and Drills Camp at St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco. The two day camp brought together 50 to 60 prospects who went from station to station with instructions from DIII coaches. We were there for Saturday only. Here are the 2027 prospects who stood out on day 1.    The 6'2 rising guard, has continued to upgrade his basketball skills. He's looks stronger, and more athletic than before. He has lift, and strength finishing drives in traffic going to the basket. He's a rebounding guard. He gets good lift on the mid-range, will shoot open 3's. He's has improving handles, sees the court. His numbers should go up this season.     The solid body guard has a few moves to get his shot off. He plays with balance, while using his dribble to initiate contact, create space to get his shot. He hit multiple fade away paint jumpers with hand in face. He drove the baseline aggressively, and had solid passes when needed.     He's a long prospect still growing and filling his frame. He's an improving player who can work along the perimeter looking to spot up for 3-pointers. His handles can use some polishing, he did put it on floor to get closer to the basket, for kick outs, and paint jumpers. Though he needs to get stronger, his length will get him buckets in the paint. He blocked a couple of shots, got some rebounds.     He has the body to be a guard or forward at this level. He played a good all around game. Standing around 6'3 he had good activity, played aggressive. He battled for rebounds, took the hits finishing around the basket. He dropped 3's from the top, and corners. He handled in transition with good passing, had multiple drives to the basket. We'll see more. A newcomer     Listed as a guard but can be effective playing forward as well. He works from different areas on the court. He has the strength, toughness, and balance to finish with points in the paint planting off two, and going up strong. He's a big guard with decent handles driving from the perimeters, pulling up for short jumpers along the baseline. He's shown he can handle the ball up top when called to do so. He has 3-point range     He's a newcomer we'll have to get a better look at. He'll go on the Watch List. Standing 6'1 he got a good number of rebounds from the guard position, finding bodies to boxout. He showed decent handles using the in and out dribble to get by defenders going coast to coast to finish a lay up, he had good drives along the baseline, and hit a 3ptr from the top. He averaged 12pts a game with his high school team.     He's an improving prospect, we'll put on the Watch List. At 6'2 he had good effort going for rebounds on both ends, he did well hustling up court to fill lanes for transition layups. He found ways to get into the paint, then get his shot off over defenders, his floater went in.
