AOG High Academic Skills and Drills Camp

PH NorCal was in attendance at the Attitude of Gratitude Event Saturday August 16 at St. Ignatius High School in san Francisco. It was a 2 day event, we were there for Saturday only. We saw a good number of prospects sharpening their skills in preparation for the up coming season. Here are the 2026 prospects who stood out on the day.   [player_tooltip player_id='2094258' first='Sebastian' last='Margate']: A superb ball handler with court vision. He'll be one of the top distributors in the WCAL. The experienced point guard is mostly in attack mode using his vision, and excellent passing in transition, and around the perimeter spotting open mates for buckets. He has the speed, and quickness to generate buckets on his own.   [player_tooltip player_id='2710989' first='Aaron' last='Allen']: The long wiry wing is showing the confidence needed heading into his Senior season. He has long strides running the court. He showed a variety of moves getting buckets in and around the post area. He converted offensive rebounds, dropped a couple of 3ptrs, hit paint jumpers. He had good activity defending, rebounding and going after blocks.   [player_tooltip player_id='2724358' first='Ryan' last='Rice']: He gives good effort on both ends of the court with his aggressive style of play. He had hard drives to the basket using his body finishing through contact. He connected on a couple of long 3ptrs. He's a ball mover. At 6'1 he'll go for rebounds, he play physical on the defensive side, he'll get on the floor for loose balls.   [player_tooltip player_id='1981405' first='Brian' last='Wright']: Standing around 6'4, he usually plays in and around the post area on both ends. He's one of the more effective undersized post prospects in NorCal. He continually gets buckets, and rebounds on the offensive side using his solid body, and a series of moves that requires patience, and footwork. He has jump hooks, pump fakes, and touch. He's developing his game away from the basket, he did shoot open 3's, used a dribble or two, to get closer to the basket. He could be a double, double guy this upcoming season.   [player_tooltip player_id='2710987' first='Peyton' last='Beld']: He's a feisty playmaking point guard with leverage. He's a good handler, has vision, he pushes hard, and fast in transition, he'll pull-up for quick hitters. He can slow things down to run half court sets, uses screens, and hard dribbles to his advantage. He is determined to attack the basket sacrificing body, putting it high off the glass. He'll dish, dump or kick it out.   Newcomers from the NorCal High Academic Camp      He was aggressive in the first game actively seeking buckets. He hit multiple corner 3's, drove it hard down the middle. He had a couple of drive and spin moves to finish around the basket. Game two he was more of a facilitator, using his vision, and good passing to find open mates cutting, and moving. He dropped a couple of 3's generated a few steals from ball pressure.     He played a good all around game. A willing passer, he'll find open players cutting to the basket. He had multiple drives into the paint for points using both hands. He looks comfortable putting up 3-pointers from the perimeter. He had a couple nifty moves from different angles, finished in transition.       He's a moving guard, a combo showing he can handle, and get assists. He's a ball mover making passes up, and around the court, with a few drive and kicks. He had good movement off ball looking for open shots, mainly 3-pointers. He pushed fast in transition. He had good effort defending, got a few steals that led to easy buckets.     He's a hustling guard plays mostly off ball looking to put up open shots when the opportunity arises. He hit a couple of short corner jumpers, after running down loose balls, had some success driving along the baseline. At 6'1 he helped rebound, and defended hard out on the perimeter.     Young might fit the role of a long range shooter maybe, while continuing to develop his over all skills. He has good form, and release. He hit a couple of 3's in transition, squared up shot ready around the perimeter. He made long passes up court, had good ball movement.
