5 Freshman at AOG

Saturday August 16 PH NorCal was at St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco for the Attitude of Gratitude Skills and Drills Camp. These five Freshman did enough to go on the PH NorCal 2029 Watch List for further evaluation   .    He was a good ball handling guard that had drives into the paint, sometimes planting off two feet, and finishing layups in traffic. He gave good effort on the defensive side, taking a charge, and getting a steal that led to a easy bucket. He was able to get a couple of rebounds from the guard position, then come out with the dribble in transition.     He's a combo guard, but showed he could knock down corner 3's at a good rate if left unattended during the two games we saw. He sees the court in transition, found open mates with long passes up court.     His size, ball handling, passing, and vision indicates he's a point guard that can improve his play at the position. This event he was aggressive showing us he could create for himself. He had strong drives to the basket, pulled up for mid-range, and paint jumpers. He put up open 3's. Showed quick hand and feet movement on defense.     He'll probably spend time on the JV fine tuning his skill set. He has length. He positioned himself at the high, and mid post, he passed, set screens, and rolled to finished around the rim. He's a slasher, and a cutter, stops and plants off two feet. He had a step through move to score inside.     He's a good size guard who'll get bigger and stronger going forward. He has a good skill set, and plays at a good pace. He plays within the flow of the game, taking good shots, making extra pass. He'll put up open 3's, drive in for layups, and pull ups. He'll make the effort to defend. He'll be a contributor on the varsity. We'll see more.
