2029 Prospect Standouts at Simply

The Simply Basketball Invite at Oakland Tech, High School in Oakland, CA August 17, gave PH NorCal the opportunity to see some of our best prospects, who'll be in the class of 2029 ranking, For now all 2029s will go on the watch list until we have a chance to better evaluate during Fall Ball and the regular high school season.    Harris had a standout performance taking home CO-MVP with his play. The 6'6 forward has expanding skills with good movement. He scored regularly around the basket in traffic, using hops, and strength to finish around the rim. He's got ball handling, and passing skills that allows him to operate away from the basket, creating opportunities for himself, and others.     The two sport athlete is already making a name for himself on the varsity football team at Grant. He's big, strong, and moves good for his size. He's going to be a contributor when he polishes up his fundamentals, and locks in on the court. He can be physical operating on both ends in the paint, using one or two dribbles, turning, and powering his way closer to the basket, defending and getting rebounds.     Good size at 6'5 will probably grow more. He played a good all around game, made hustle plays, he worked hard to get rebounds. He gets wide running the court in transition. He'll use his skills within the flow of the game, he has a short jumper, can spot up for open 3's. He's a ball mover, makes good cuts to the basket. He has the size to help defend in the post.     He's a solid body who'll get his share of rebounds, he's active around the boards, looking for taps ins and offensive rebounds. He's got some shot blocking qualities. He hit the short corner jumper. He did well defending his position in the post, There's some alertness going after blocks.     The point guard handles pressure bringing the ball up court, head up, vision to makes long passes. He keeps his dribble live setting the offense up top, moves the ball around the perimeter, uses screens to free himself. He had some success beating defenders off the dribble , he'll challenge bigs, take hits on drives into the paint. He'll shoot open 3's.
