Miller may have been the player with the highest upside at the Rising Stars Showcase, as he displayed his elite two-way impact around the basket, great energy and hustle on each play, and once he develops a consistent jumper, sky is really the limit for the young forward. Miller made his presence felt in various ways in his team’s semifinal loss to the eventual champs, Team Clippers, finishing with 14 points, earning numerous trips and scoring from the free throw line, 11 rebounds, and 4 blocks, showcasing his massive wingspan, timing, and agility to dominate around the basket. Miller uses his long strides to get ahead of the defense, gets plenty of scoring opportunities off the missed shot, limits opponents to single shot possessions, blocks and alters shots around the basket at a high clip, has the lateral movement to close out and contest perimeter shots, and deflects entry passes that often lead to steals and turnovers that his guards can take advantage of. Miller has nice timing on the dive off the pick and roll action, seals his man off nicely when posting up, uses the spin-move, face-up jumper, and has nice touch on shots around the basket. 

Started the season on the JV moved up to Varsity early to finish with an average of 8pts, 6rebs. He has the tools to join the double, double club. Standing 6’7 has the length and strength to score, and rebound around the basket. He’s a bit raw, still developing his overall skills that allows him to spend time out on the perimeter. He has good movement, defends away from the basket, has the length and strength to hold his own in the paint, go after blocks.

He started the season on the JV, after 8 games moved to the Varsity where he showed potential as a rising prospect, a versatile style of play, with continued skill development, he’ll attract attention. He’s a bit raw, but he has the size, and strength to score around the rim. He moves okay, runs the court for transition layups or dunks. He defends multiple positions. In 16 games on the Varsity 8.1ppg, 5.8rpg. He’s a double, double, guy moving forward with extra effort. He has plenty of room to expand his game.

Marcus Miller Marcus Miller 6'7" | SF West Park | 2029 State CA-N is a long, athletic forward who’s still developing physically but already showing intriguing versatility. At 6’6, he can handle the ball when needed, finish strong around the rim, and uses his length to create second-chance opportunities on the glass.

What makes Miller even more promising is his potential to improve his perimeter game. His outside mechanics look smooth and repeatable, while his ball handling and shooting range are pretty good and will continue to grow as he matures. With his size, athleticism and developing skill set, Miller has the potential to become one of the more versatile forwards in his class.

He’s a solid body who’ll get his share of rebounds, he’s active around the boards, looking for taps ins and offensive rebounds. He’s got some shot blocking qualities. He hit the short corner jumper. He did well defending his position in the post, There’s some alertness going after blocks.
