We had the pleasure of attending Jase Coburn's Elite Basketball Camp at Portland State University on Friday. Here is our list of top players from the state of Washington who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2021596' first='Carter' last='Cohen'] (2026 North Creek) - Cohen, a 6-foot-11 center, was the tallest prospect in the gym. His ability to display his shooting skills and quick first-step impressed us. Carter, who has been playing with Seattle Select on the Under Armour circuit this summer, was recently offered by PSU a couple of weeks ago. He also has scholarship offers from the University of Idaho and Indiana State University.

[player_tooltip player_id='2622808' first='DJ' last='Karl'] (2026 Edmonds-Woodway) - One of the more underrated shooters at the PSU Elite camp was [player_tooltip player_id='2622808' first='DJ' last='Karl']. A 6-foot-2 guard was able to knock down the three with confidence. His teammates were always finding him open either on the wing or in the corner. We were also impressed with his high-arching shot that always seemed to find its way through the net.

[player_tooltip player_id='2391500' first='Isaiah' last='Englund'] (2027 Auburn) - Englund, a 6-foot-7 forward, impressed us with his athleticism for his size. He was constantly getting to the rim off the bounce. Isaiah was very active in fighting for rebounds on both sides of the court. Also, Englund was one of the more impressive athletic bigs we saw at PSU.

[player_tooltip player_id='2920844' first='Justin' last='Vinson'] (2026 Glacier Peak) - Although we didn't get to see Justin play much, the time we did, he didn't disappoint. Vinson, a decent shooter, also displayed his toughness on defense. He got some key stops for his team in the drills we watched. Overall, he showed he was a great competitor and had a passion for the game.

Jaxen Appelt (2026 Fort Vancouver) - It's not very common for a 6'2 guard to be one of the highest jumpers in the gym, but that was the case for Jaxen Appelt. Some of his plays turned heads, as he dazzled the crowd with his ability to play above the rim. In the limited time he played in the scrimmages, Appelt played hard; he was also one of the faster players out there. He got his teammates involved offensively and made himself a valuable contributor on defense and in transition.
