Foster's performance won't blow you away on the stat sheet but his impact was felt at a high level on the defensive end of the court where he had two steals and a block and was flying around the court. In a game where Wildcat Select couldn't get much going offensively, their defensive effort helped them grind out a win and Foster was sensational on that end of the court. Defense and athleticism can get you recruited and Foster is a prime example of those skills being valued by college coaches, I had multiple coaches bring him up to me as a standout performer from today where he only scored 5 points!

A center who crashes the glass hard, Williams is going to create extra possessions for his team with his size and activity on the glass. Finishing with 7 points and 7 rebounds, all Williams has to do is set hard screens, roll to the rim, crash the offensive glass and finish layups created by his teammates. I really enjoy watching bigs who don't make the game complicated and Williams had a big impact while playing his role.

Keely had a big stretch in the second half when his Midwest squad started to extend their lead as he threw down a slam dunk off a backdoor cut, knocked down a corner 3 and made a nice extra pass for an assist. In addition to that quick stretch, Keely just makes small winning plays that don't show up in the box score. Tipping rebounds back to teammates, diving on the floor, making the extra pass so the ball doesn't stick all help you win and Keely does those things consistently. Excellent glue piece to a Midwest basketball club squad that can have anybody go off on any given night.

Joining Midwest Basketball Club's 16 U group this weekend, Aborowa looks like a prospect who could blow up with offers. At his size, athleticism and shooting ability, Aborowa checks a handful of boxes that college coaches look for on the wing. Aborowa had 7 first half points before an ankle injury held him out the second half. If Aborowa plays like he did in the first half after he recovers from his injury, he'll have plenty of more calls from Division I programs. Major potential stock riser either this summer or in the winter with Andrews Osborne Academy.

My top Ohio performer of the day, Curry has continued his positive momentum from the month of June with Lakota West on the 3SSB circuit with Phenom United 16 U. In a game where it looked like Phenom United were not going to win, Curry was a part of a massive run with about 6 minutes to go that erased a 10 point deficit and saw Phenom United come away with the win. Curry impacted the game doing what I've seen him do over and over in the month of June and that's knock down open 3-pointers, throw down alley oop dunks and turn defense into transition offense from steals and blocked shots. Love that Curry is once again trending upward with college coaches, a top prospect in Ohio's 2027 class.

Another team that snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, Thompson went off for 35 points in a comeback win over ETG Midwest and showed why NBA scouts were on his court to watch him. Thompson took over in the second half with a stretch that included multiple strong right handed finishes and a couple 3-pointers off the catch. Thompson is such a mismatch on the wing with his size and he can simply shoot over smaller defenders or fall away when they get up into his space. Thompson had a couple toughness plays in the second half as well including a big putback layup that was contested. Those types of plays will be what nba scouts want to consistently see from Thompson as his natural ability is among the best in the country.

Lots of players think they need the ball in their hands to score the basketball and [player_tooltip player_id='2377846' first='Noah' last='Bell'] proved that wrong with 17 points off of cuts and running the floor. Credit to Bell's teammates for finding him when he was open but Bell did an excellent job of making himself available along the baseline where he could easily catch and finish through contact. At the college level lots of players will be used to having the ball in their hands during the high school game and Bell displays a very advanced understanding of how to play without the ball and still impact scoring. Strong performance by Bell who has consistently impacted the game at the 3SSB level with Wildcat Select.
