The Tune Up: Saturday’s Next Key Performers

The Prep Hoops Illinois crew had live coverage from 3 different venues viewing 11U - 17U age divisions. I had the opportunity to be in Batavia, IL taking in action all day long. Plenty of skills were showcased. Hits the openings pretty hard with some finesse game to finish. Forced defenders to sprint back multiple times and was able to speed the game up off of turnovers. In first game of day, led all scorers with 12 after 1st half. Lefty guard had smooth handling abilities with a poised shot. Possessed solid court vision when taking main point responsibilities. Dropped off a few assists in the heat of traffic to keep team in it. Showed poise in the lane to find success on a couple soft touch runners off the glass as well. Was a rim runner consistently throughout the 2nd game of day. An authentic 2 way player. Highly active around the glass cleaning up misses. Easily finished with a double double. Played with balance throughout. Knocked down catch and shoot opportunities and helped stretch the lead out. Poised handler for size. After 1st half lead all scorers with 10.
