Risers to Catch at The Tune Up TX

The Tune Up is this weekend in Fort Worth and there will be a ton of top talent from Texas and surrounding states putting their skills on display. Below are a handful of student athletes you want to be sure not to miss.    Logan is a skilled, versatile combo guard with a great handle and excellent footwork that allows him to attack his opposition from multiple angles. He has a nice shooting ability with range that extends beyond the three-point line. He has fantastic lift on his jumper that helps him get his shots up and over longer defenders without losing any accuracy. He's a significant threat offensively and will punish his defenders if they give him any sort of space. He also displays nice patience when opponents want to play him tight and he uses his elite footwork and sound decision-making to work his way through each scenario to the best opportunity available. Henry is only going to get better as long as he keeps hustling and I can't wait to see all the attention follow.     Jordan is a strong, physical two-way combo guard with a quick burst and tenacious approach on defense. His court vision is elite and he reads passing lanes effectively with impressive regularity, leading to clutch steals and easy buckets for his squad on the other end. He has a nice ability to flip the afterburners while driving to the hoop and get past his defenders with a combination of power and speed. He can run the point incredibly well and stays nicely balanced between his scoring and distribution. He's a great passer that elevates his teammates and identifies the best opportunities available for his team all around. He never shies from contact and he can stretch the floor and connect from beyond the arc. I have a feeling we'll be hearing about Magee more and more as he progresses further into his high school career.     Camden is a solid, hard-working center that stacks boards on both ends and isn't afraid to do the little things for his squad that make a huge difference. He uses his size incredibly well in the paint on both sides of the ball and many times ends up outhustling his opposition. His second-chance points are wonderfully common on the offensive end and he has mastered the skill of boxing out effectively. He has great touch and awareness for a big man and I'm impressed with his passing ability and the way he sees the floor as well. When a shot goes up, he always seems to be right around the rim to rack up additional opportunities for his squad. Wammack is standing out in a sea of guards and if he continues to put in the work and improve each year, he's going to be deservedly sought after.     Isaac is a long, quick two-way forward with the ability to slide to shooting guard and be effective if need be. He's a menace on the defensive end - regularly using his length and speed to chase down blocks and create havoc for his opponents. He has great anticipation with a nice ability to read his opponent's eyes and predict where the ball is going next. Once he's got the steal, you might as well adjust the score because he'll leave the opposition in the dust on the fast break for an easy deuce. He has a nice spin move he'll utilize when he gets in jams and a solid ballhandling ability to allow him to create the space needed to be effective and efficient offensively. Berry's strength and versatility stand out in a big way and the attention will be great if he keeps working.     De'corian is a smart, sharpshooting combo guard with a lethal step back and the ability to get on a hot streak and make his opponents miserable on any given night. He's confident beyond the arc and will not hesitate a bit to launch his shot if he's given any sort of space or window to do so. He has great, quick hands that he uses to pick pockets defensively and rack up additional possessions for his team. He hustles non-stop of defense and has a nice ability to consistently disrupt his opponent and leave them muddling in a state of frustration. He moves well without the ball and can get to his spots with ease. If the defense figures out how accurate he is beyond the arc, he displays the ability to adjust and be effective driving into the paint. Deitz is a winning player that can stretch the floor beautifully and more and more eyes will be following him as he continues to get better.     Joseph is a lengthy, effective combo guard with a solid frame that will only continue grow and an impressive ballhandling ability that allows him to get to the rim with regularity. His wingspan when he drives into the key make his shots nearly impossible to block and he's skilled at using his body to create space while airborne. He makes solid decisions on both ends consistently and he has a nice pull up jumper that he'll punish his opponents with as well. I enjoy the way he uses the glass to his advantage and he never settles on a bad shot. He's a menace on the defensive end when it comes to blocking shots and his opponents quickly figure this out and either alter their approach or waddle in despair. Gilbert is going to make a ton of noise as long as he continues to put in the work and I'm excited to see it.
