Knockdown short corner specialist. Gilbert did an excellent job flashing along the baseline with his hands ready, always shot-prepared. His footwork was sharp on both sides of the rim, allowing him to smoothly pivot into his jumper without wasted motion. Once Gilbert caught the ball, he turned fluidly into his shot, rising up with confidence and precision.

Joseph is a lengthy, effective combo guard with a solid frame that will only continue grow and an impressive ballhandling ability that allows him to get to the rim with regularity. His wingspan when he drives into the key make his shots nearly impossible to block and he’s skilled at using his body to create space while airborne. He makes solid decisions on both ends consistently and he has a nice pull up jumper that he’ll punish his opponents with as well. I enjoy the way he uses the glass to his advantage and he never settles on a bad shot. He’s a menace on the defensive end when it comes to blocking shots and his opponents quickly figure this out and either alter their approach or waddle in despair. Gilbert is going to make a ton of noise as long as he continues to put in the work and I’m excited to see it.
