He was very good at attacking the basket, being able to work his way around a defender for a score with ease. He is a knockdown shooter from the perimeter and was automatic when left with any room. Backaus is a 2027 prospect, playing up at the 17U level this weekend with Coulee United, being the go-to guy.

Artie is a smooth bucket getter that has been one of my favorite players to watch on the circuit this summer. He never looks rushed or uncomfortable, making the most difficult shots look like a walk in the park. He was on fire from beyond the arc, hitting looks on the run and with a hand in his face. Carlow was also able to slash to the basket for crafty finishes around larger defenders.

Salifou had an incredible performance on opening night, almost willing his team to a victory. He scored the ball in so many ways and the defense had no answer. He used his strong 6'2” frame to attack the basket and finish through contact, as well as draw fouls. He looked good when getting to pull up looks in the mid-range and from three, being a true three-level scorer. Camara was a pleasant surprise on Friday night.

Colton brings so much to the table as a do-it-all wing prospect. He stands at 6'5” and is very strong, playing very physically down low. He was converting on some really tough finishes inside around the basket, always playing controlled and off of two feet. He is a phenomenal rebounder for his position, doing a great job on both sides of the ball. Along with his interior presence, Smith can stretch the floor too.

Kellen's length is what initially stood out to me as he has a long 6'9” frame. He used that to make a difference inside the paint, blocking shots and rebounding at a high level. He moves very well for his size, being able to run the floor for scores in transition. His vertical athleticism also impressed me, as he rose up for a high flying two-handed slam. Artz showcased a complete interior presence with his size, mobility, and vertical pop, making a strong impact on both sides of the ball.

Tyson is a 6'4” wing that can impact winning in a variety of ways. He can stretch the floor, as he was an elite option for teammates looking to make kickout passes, being at his best in the catch and shoot. He ran the floor well, being able to finish at full speed with either hand. Labus also made plays on the defensive end, protecting the rim and jumping passing lanes for steals.

Hank had a huge second half in the game I saw, showing off his ability to score in bunches. He did a lot of the ball handling for his team, being able to create for himself and for teammates. His perimeter shooting was the aspect of his game that stuck out the most, as he showed extreme confidence when pulling up from deep. He connected with looks well beyond the three-point line, with a hand in his face, or off balance. Sand can heat up quickly and that was apparent on Friday night.
